The Pool Cottage is one of 5 cottages created from a large country house, built at different times, and set in the heart of the welsh countryside. Close to the sandy beaches of Aberdovey and Borth, the Pool cottage is surrounded by a 5-acre garden in the country landscape of Wales. The Market town of Machynlleth is 10mins by car with arts & craft shops.

The gardens at Ty Poeth were created a hundred years ago and have planted borderlands with a wide variety of plants and shrubs and an abundance of wildlife. Four separate lawns are perfect for picnics on sunny days and relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Paths through the woodlands and along terraces are perfect for strolls or as places for children to play. Each semi-detached cottage is private with garden views. Response from the owner Could I suggest a private note next time. Clearly you did not like your holiday and we are sorry. The cottage was cleaned by a company that has now been let go due to bad practices, so there is no more mold, etc. The number of utensils are now checked after every holiday. All the rules have been taken down as we agree, this was too much, a hoover has been provided with extra cleaning products and dry wood is now always provided. (none of these things were overseen by us). So we hope that now, instead of a youth hostel it has become a proper holiday cottage.

Chipped crockery. Bathroom covered in mould. All upstairs Windows covered in mould. Damp and smelly.
