Description

One of six 17th century stone built barns converted to comfortable and well equipped cottages in an Area of Outstanding Natural Landscape and adjacent to the SW Coastal Path. Set around a courtyard and offering the facilities you would associate with a tourist board four star rating. There is ample parking and a child's outdoor play area and a room with games, books and dvds etc. A laundry with drying facilities is provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

Adjacent to the SW Coastal Path with magnificent views of Whitsand Bay and the entrance to Looe Harbour. Just sit on the cliff and relax or have a barbeque in the evening. Close to beaches and the fishing port of Looe. The virtual traffic free ancient smugglers fishing village of Polperro is only a short drive away. Many attractions nearby include the Eden Project and the National Marine Aquarium. National Trust properties include Mount Edgcombe, Cotehele and Lanhydrock as well as other attractions including the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Daphne du Maurier's Jamaica Inn and Morwhelan Quay.

Getting around

The best way of getting around is by car. However, being right next to the coastal path and Millendreath beach there are plenty of alternative activities that don't require the use of a car. There is a train station only 10 km away from here and a pick up from there ca n be arrange prior your arrival. Alternatively you can take the picturesque train from Liskeard to Looe.

Interaction with guest

On arrival we will show you to your cottage, explain its features and our beautiful grounds. We will then hand you the keys and leave you to it! The cottages are set in a tranquil location, just beside the stunning Cornish coastal path and designed to be fully self sufficient, however we will always be on hand to give a bit of local advice or answer queries.

“Great place for a break with my two children near the beach”

Stayed for 5 nights with my two children 8 and 12yrs. Nice and quiet with large grassy area to play and bounce! (New BBQ area soon to come too). Less than 5 mins walk down to the nearest beach with cafe and bar. Other beaches in Seaton (5 mins in car) and slightly further along offer great alternatives. Owners were really friendly and very helpful. Great to have hire of paddle boards (and ebikes) available as hire shop on beach was popular. Simple living area, clean and all working as expected. Would definately recommend.

How do damage deposits work?

If Dennis (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
