Description

The Pigeonnier is a detached stone cottage & has been fully renovated, it has modern facilities with a mix of modern and Antique French furniture giving it a contemporary French feel. It has a separate fully equipped kitchen including a cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine, iron & board & WIFI etc. A bathroom with a large walkin shower & hairdryer. The Pigeonnier is open plan and feels spacious with high beamed ceilings and traditional exposed stone walls, in the summer feels cool against the hot summer days. For the winter there is a large fireplace with a wood burner to give a warm cosy feel. There's a large double bed and bed settee on the ground floor, upstaires there is a small mezzanine area with 2 futon style beds that can sleep 2 children between the ages of 4 to 11yrs as there is restricted head height. Directly outside you'll find an outside eating area with a table & chairs and a choice of BBQ's. Baby equippment is also available ie. cot, high chair & baby bath, toys & books etc. ENCLOSED11X5 METER OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL, fully enclosed with a stone wall and a locked gate with a choice of sun loungers.

WE WELCOME NEW GUESTS ANYTIME AFTER 4 pm (evening) AND ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE WE EXPECT OUR GUESTS TO LEAVE BEFORE 10am (morning) UNLESS PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED WITH THE OWNERS.

Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property Le Pigeonnier, sorry it was not exactly what you had envisaged. We are completely surrounded by fields with rolling countryside and no immediate neighbours. The wifi did not work at first and we could not find any reason for this until the fuse box tripped (which is what it is designed to do) and from this we deduced that a bulb had gone in the kitchen, once we replaced the bulb everything worked fine. If we had been notified about the bulb sooner then we could have got the wifi working sooner. (We did not have a wifi problem before and we have not had one since.) I am sure our advertising points out our vicinity to La Rochelle and to Chatelaillon-Plage which is only 15/20 minutes drive which also has numerous seafront restaurants.
