“Summer 21”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2021

Good value, tired decor, functional and basic sum up the accommodation. Double bunk mattress uncomfortable. No tin opener, mouldy shower curtain and dripping kettle. Very quiet place to stay though.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for your lovely glowing review, it would've been nice when we met or prior,to have given us a chance to put things right for you but you stated everything was good and you'd had a lovely stay. We will look into the dripping kettle & replace the tin opener that we didn't know had gone missing!

“Wall to wall sun with a bit of wind”

Reviewed 6 May 2021

Cosy little spot, a bit tight in some rooms! Quiet site, friendly neighbours. Jay was a lovely host. Chalet probably needs a bit of updating, and a few lamps. But it had most things we needed and was very good value for money. Take slip mat and bathmat. You might need earplugs in the main bedroom to muffle the ticking of the electric meter.

“Cosy Cabin”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2020

My husband and I stayed in this chalet for 2 weeks. We are both elderly. It was warm, cosy, very clean and fully equipped for self catering. It was a little dated but that was reflected in the price and the modernised chalets were much more expensive. We feel it was very good value for money. The location was excellent. We visited 3 local beautiful bays, Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac,Polzeath,Padstow, Rock and Newquay. The owner James was very helpful and easily contacted. Overall a very enjoyable holiday

“Snug & cosy!”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2019

We have just returned from a post Christmas week in 206, and what a lovely week we had. James made sure the heating and hot water were on for our arrival, and the chalet was warm and cosy when walked in. 206 is snug and cosy with patterned carpet, pictures on the walls and a homely feel! The chalet is just a few metres from the car park and it is good to have no cars around the chalets - but wellies are definitely needed when the grass is wet! The small kitchen is equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster, oven & hod and plenty of crockery, cutlery & glasses, a few pans & dishes too - and I was able to cook everything I wanted with a little imaginative use of foil & plates as lids! The 2 two seater leather sofas are very comfy, there is a small freeview TV with built in DVD (James provided us with a selection of DVD's to suit our taste!!) and a radio CD (which we didn't have cause to use). The small double bedroom with comfy bed, has a heater and 2 small wardrobes with shelves and over-bed storage - plenty of room for our needs - the second bedroom has a double bottom bunk with a single upper bunk and a single wardrobe. I would suggest that it would be a little too snug for 5 - especially in the winter when the outside space can't be used, but it's a lovely cosy space for a winter break for 2 (or 3). The weather when we were there was not that cold - we didn't have frost at night - bit we were perfectly warm and comfortable, not scrimping on the heating and using the cooker to cook a meal every evening and still only spent about £20 in the electric meter. The chalet is a minute walk from the pleasant & friendly on site bar serving a selection of good local ales as well as the usual, and also serves food (which we did not sample) Atlantic Bays is a short drive from all of the '7 bays' as well as Padstow and there are numerous other attractions in the surrounding area. We will have no hesitation booking 206 again (if James will have us of course!!)

“Absolutely Amazing”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2018

As soon as I walked into the chalet it felt homely and cosy. I really enjoyed my stay and the Jacuzzi bath, which soothed my aching muscles from daily scenic route walks around the bays. There was so much to do, places to go and see. Seven amazing bays, with beautiful scenery and beaches. Visited St Michael's Mount and Lands End, hired a bike and cycled along the Camel Trail, okay so it was an electric assisted bike, but it was amazing and relaxing, the weather was great. Would definitely recommend.
