Description
This spacious, comfortable farmhouse, in 4 acres of lawns, walnut grove, woods and meadow, is situated along a no-exit road in an elevated position commanding panoramic views to the east, south, and west over beautiful rolling countryside. Just 1km to the village of Seyches with it's ex. restaurant, amazing patisserie, essential shops and bank.
All the accommodation is on the ground floor, with 3 King bedrooms and a 4th bedroom with bunks and a single bed. Two bathrooms, one with bath and shower, the second with shower and WC, plus separate WC.
The living area is open plan with two log fireplaces, insulated walls for summer coolness and all modern facilities, hi-fi, wi-fi broadband and electric heating. The old farmhouse kitchen with it's original fireplace we now call the garden room, is open on two sides linking to the open terrace and the covered terrace and provides wonderful outdoor living. The 12x6m swimming pool has an electrically operated security cover. Close to lakes with sandy beaches for watersports, fishing and riding; 3 golf courses; tennis and shops in Seyches.
Excellent quiet undulating rural roads for the road cyclist.
Damouran provides an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne, Bordeaux, and the Lot et Garonne areas. This is one of the most beautiful, picturesque areas of rural France. Ideal for spring, summer and autumn holidays.

“Serene Tranquillity with Stunning Views”
We stayed at the beautifully located Villa “Damouran” in July 2016. The Villa is set high, affording it sublime 180 degrees views across the southern panorama, coupled with that golden sound track of “silence”. The Villa is very generously proportioned. Construction, layout, furniture and internal decoration are traditional in style and every conceivable household need is catered for. Thick-walls keep the inside pleasantly cool and fresh without the need to artificial air conditioning. The garden is large and mostly open with lawned expanses. Plenty of options are available for outside seating. The swimming pool is absolutely fantastic with complete privacy. Villa Damouran is well served for a range of shops and markets locally. If one’s looking for a holiday property that is a perfect “getaway” with all that’s needed to hand then one need look no further. Well, we’ll be back!

“Great base to enjoy rural France at it[--]s best, excellent facilities, peace and tranquility.”
Great pool, walking distance to village where local hotel provides excellent food, 4 courses @ 12 euros including wine. Good base to visit bastide towns. Numerous golf courses, beware fast greens!!. Damouran is peacefull, appeals to all age groups. We enjoyed collecting apricots and figs for breakfast from the garden. Early morning and late evening you could see Roe deer feeding in nearby maize fields.

“An Amazing Farmhouse and Pool in rural France.”
What an amazing place! Beautifully restored and furnished to a high standard with everything we could possibly want to make our holiday so special. We all loved the open space and pool to play around all day. A wonderfully relaxing holiday enjoyed by all 8 of us - with beautiful countryside and sunflowers as far as the eye could see. A 25 minute walk into town with its pattiserie, boucherie, post office, tabac, and hotel/restaurant was all we needed after shopping in Marmande or Miramont at the supermarkets. The local market was amazing too! Thank You Linley for sharing your Farmhouse with us and for making our holiday so easy and straightforward. We hope to visit you again sometime soon.
