Are you interested in an adult-only (15yrs +) base from which you can visit the local tourist attractions? Or perhaps you are looking for beautiful countryside where you can wile away the hours fishing, playing golf, walking or cycling? Or maybe you just want to get away from it all, enjoying a few days of peace and tranquility lazing by the pool, or playing french boules in the sun...?

Situated in the sleepy village of Gournay in the rolling countryside of the Poitou-Charentes region, our B&B is well placed to offer you all of the above, along with friendly and welcoming hospitality that will make you wish you'd stayed longer.

Our bed and breakfast is also ideal for those of you wishing to spend a week or two here discovering this wonderful region. With a swimming pool, darts and jeu de boele on site you need never relax.... unless you want to! And with a separate kitchen in our adjacent barn, those of you wishing to have a more independent holiday where you can make your own meals, are also catered for.

We are a B&B with 4 different rooms: prices below based on 2 pers occupancy and include breakfast:

2 double rooms - €70 per night

1 large twin room - €75 per night

1 large deluxe room (TV, sitting area, tea/coffee making facilities) - €90 per night

Poitou-Charentes is in the South-West of France and is indeed the second sunniest region of France.

It has become an ever popular destination for tourists with its' diverse cultural heritage, fantastic local cuisine and seafood and lovely countryside.

“Amazing, authentic French home from home!”

We arrived here on Saturday and we were overwhelmed by the beautiful La Grange Du Gournay. Nothing is too much trouble for Lynda and Walter. The rooms are amazing, the grounds including the pool are just what we dreamt of! Walter cooks of an evening at an extra charge but I must recommend you do this as his cooking and the food are amazing. Lynda will happily give advice on places to visit and will even phone up and book trips for you if your French isn’t great. The rooms are all decorated beautifully and the ensuite bathrooms are excellent. There is a self contained kitchen which has everything you need if you decide to cook your own evening meal. We have two 17 year old with us and they are loving it, they are not stuck for things to do be it messing around in the fabulous pool, playing boules, badminton, bike riding and exploring the beautiful countryside around or simply watching TV! In all, I can’t recommend La Grange du Gournay highly enough - an amazing holiday with some fantastic hosts and guests (Neisha and Brian).... and amazing memories that will stay with us for a long time! Thank you Lynda and Brian.... we will be back :)

How do damage deposits work?
