“2013 Lake Tahoe Summer Vacation”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2013

When we first arrived the staff in Tahoe Getaways were very friendly. We drove 8 1/2 hours straight arrived early and the staff was nice enough to allow us to enter the property early. When we arrived at the cabin we placed our pop in the fridge and noticed over the next 2hrs that the fridge's temperature was only rising it went from 37 to 50 deg. This was a concern since I was buying food and needed to keep meat cold. The office staff again were very helpful, however the maintenance man was very rude. He first asked us "What did you do?" I felt was an accusatory statement when all we did was place the pop in the fridge. Then he says with an attitude "Well I have been doing this for 32 years." I did not appreciate his condescending remarks or his attitude since we were on vacation but shouldn't treat people in this manner. After I pointed out his attitude he offered a cooler, he did not seem like a happy man. The cabin itself would not accommodate 12 people, not enough dinner settings, seating, or sleeping area for 12, there were only 5-6 washcloths. There was no firewood so if you wanted to make a fire you had to buy your own. The internet service kept going out. There were only two frying pans one lg one sm and could have used a griddle(very inexpensive put allows you to cook for a large group of people). The cabin faces east therefore the sun bakes the house in the summer with no relief until the sun sets. The cabin is extremely hot and the heat rises to the loft above. We also did not appreciate being told to strip the beds, do a load of laundry and clean since part of the rent is for a cleaning crew and we were on vacation. The location is perfect since it is centrally located between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. The neighborhood was very nice and the neighbors were extremely friendly. The only rudeness we encountered was the maintenance man. The neighborhood is very pet friendly. We would stay in this same neighborhood in a different cabin.

“Annual 4th of July getaway”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2013

My family has been spending 4th of July in the Sierras for decades (either Donner Lake or Tahoe) and over the past several years we have been renting in Tahoe. Four Summits is right up there with some of our favorite cabins, and I would definitely recommend it. However, I would suggest adding foam pads to the beds, as they were all too firm for our group, and a shade umbrella on the side deck is a must, since it gets sun most of the day. The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of linens, and the home is very comfortable and is updated just enough. We might be back next year!

“Great weekend stay”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

I was in Tahoe for a wedding, and we shared this house with several couples instead of getting a hotel. It was a great decision. The unit was beautiful, clean, and spacious. I would definitely come back.

“Great for a group!”

Reservation process was easy, office help was efficient, and staff was available by phone to help when we needed it. Very well-equipped kitchen and plenty of linens.

“Very Nice Stay in Tahoe”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2012

This cabin was just right size for our party of 8. The kitchen was well equipped but if you plan on doing a lot of cooking, I would recommend bringing your own sharp knife. The cabin was mostly clean but the carpets and some of the furniture are showing their age a bit. We would stay here again if we were looking to vacation in agate Bay again.

“Family Summer Get away”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2011

Property was very nice and clean. This was an extended family get together for 9 adults and 1 child over an august weekend. We enjoyed using the outside BBQ and the spa. It was close enough to the local cites for outside dinning & shopping without being located in the city. The only complaint we had was the kitchen microwave didn't work; but 1 phone call & a counter top model was brought in for our use for the stay.

“Too small fo 10ppl.”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2011

too small kitchen & living room for number of beds. Kitchen doesn't have enough dishes, and supply of the plates and bowls are in bad condition. Porch had a seating for only six people with a very small table to accommodate any food service. Bath towels supply was great.

“Tahoe for a weekend Wedding”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2011

This home is very cute and in a quiet location. We were three couples with small children. The two tvs, the hot tub, room set up and beds were great. We appreciated the lock box key for all of our different schedules. The only negative comment I have is related to the cleanliness. The upstairs shower was moldy, some of the pillow cases had old blood stains, and the sheets were dirty on one bed and had to be washed. The washer and dryer on site were very helpful.

“Fun in Tahoe”

Nice cdesigned, lean house with a lot of amnetities. It's a great location.

“Great house in a nice neighborhood!”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2010

We enjoyed our stay at the Four Summits. It's in a quiet neighborhood, good for a nice stroll or a run in the a.m. The house was clean and updated with all the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable! The lock box to store the house key simplified the logistics of coming and going as we were 2 families staying together. We would definitely use the website again for future travels to Lake Tahoe.
