Description
This modern coastal holiday home is located just 10 minutes walk from the stunning Errarooey Beach. This is often referred to as Donegal's best kept secret. Quiet and peaceful, yet only 10 minutes drive from the lively seside town of Dunfanaghy. The house has easy access to all the local amenities including the surf schools, golf courses, horse riding, guided hiking tours, angling clubs, stunning beaches, fishing lakes, local markets, convenience stores, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants. The house benefits from its own private stables so horses are very welcome. The landscaped gardens, fenced grassy paddock areas and the large fish pond all add character to this property. The picnic area and BBQ area is perfect for those who enjoy al fresco dining while watching the sun set over Tory Island. Every room in the house boasts a spectacular view. With 2 Double bedrooms and a triple room the house is ideal for large groups or families. 2 Camp beds can added allowing the house to sleep 9. There is a high chair & 2 travel cots for provision for 2 infants. There are also many visitor attractions in the surrounding area including Glenveagh National Park, Famine Workhouse Museum, Falcarragh Visitor Centre and the Dunlewey Centre. There is something for everyone here.

“Great mystery break”
Our family really enjoyed our stay here ,good instructions and easy to find.Lovely property ,stunning views ,amazing sunsets ,very relaxing time. I've called it a mystery break as still baffled about water supplied from a well belonging to the property.The sign in upstairs shower says stagger your showering etc to save water in tank so not to burn out electric which was awkward with 6 people staying..Is the drinking water from a well to?Feel more information should be given about this to avoid stomach upsets,if not used to drinking well water.We just bought a lot of bottled water to be on safe side.Some of the lounge furniture was overly worn in places. But we loved the house,position and views etc,and would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

“Stunning Location”
We had a wonderful break at Barleycorn House. The view out the front is simply breathtaking. I spent a lot of time watching the waves crashing on Erraroey Beach. Night time equally mesmerising watching the lighthouse on Tory Island and the lights from houses dotted along Magheroarty over to Bloody Foreland. Very comfortable well equipped holiday home. Would thoroughly recommend if you want to get away from it all. Thank you Donna & Sally.

“Ireland Holiday”
Loved the house and the view. We were very disappointed that the dryer was broken. We rented a house for our holiday so we would be able to do laundry.

“Good Accomodation with a Beautiful View”
A few mile outside Dunfanaghy, I would recommend this property for its lovely views. good amenities and a good location, set in very rural setting with virtually no noise. Great to be able to take the dogs too. Plenty to see and do in the area with great food in the village of Dunfanaghy and Local Hotel Altan.

We do not seem to have received an email from you with reference to your security deposit but thank you for bringing it to our attention. Your security deposit was not refunded within the time frame due to the email address for the booking and the email address from your PayPal payment being different. Our security procedures are very stringent in line with GDPR and therefore there was a delay in your security deposit being transferred. This, as stated, was due to the differences in the email addresses. These security procedures are in place to protect our guests but unfortunately in this instance it meant that there was a delay in you receiving your security deposit. We hope that you understand that security is our top priority. Your security deposit has been refunded as per our email to you and we have provided the payment reference number.
