“Our new Bisbee home away from home”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2015

Jeff and Bob put a lot of thought and care into this guesthouse. We noticed it was well provisioned with nothing lacking. Our favorite spots were the patio areas and viewing the stars at night and the hummingbirds in the morning. At night it was great to know there was a very comfortable large bed awaiting us . Breakfast provisions for our first morning were thoughtful and delightful ; containing local bread , coffee , eggs and juice!

“Epitome of Bisbee's charm...”

Reviewed 30 Apr 2015

This beautiful guest house epitomizes all the charms that Bisbee has to offer. Our stay was wonderful and we will stay again. The views from the garden were spectacular and the hummingbird feeders were an interesting touch. It's within walking distance to everything. bob was an excellent host.

“The climb is worth it”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2015

We stayed for a week in the Doublejack Guest House and enjoyed the views overlooking the fascinating town of Bisbee. The little house, with its lovely deck, gardens, and surroundings, is beautifully furnished for casual, comfortable living. The bedroom and bathroom are the height of luxury. We loved watching the bird feeders in the mornings, and the stars at night. The climb up those 75 stairs is something to consider. Pack lightly, and shop accordingly!

“Very clean, neat - everything you need”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2015

We always do Bisbee over Super Bowl Sunday weekend. We like to try new places and this was our first time in the double jack guest house. It was very nicely appointed, very clean, with everything you need. Like nearly every place in Bisby the staircases will get you. Luckily they were nothing but a little burn in the thighs. The owners were nearby and ready to answer any questions. It was another terrific trip to Bisbee.

“Birthday getaway”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2015

Bob was so gracious to meet us late at night because we were a late arrival. He even provided us with fresh milk, coffee, and eggs for the morning as we hadn't had time to stop on the way to Bisbee. The claw foot tub was my favorite part of the house, while my husband enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen and the abundant outdoor, birdwatching areas. We loved the cozy yet classy decor and will always choose the Doulejack Guesthouse when we visit Bisbee.

“Great Little Place, Excellent Hospitality”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2015

My sister and I stayed at the Doublejack for several night this past January. It is an adorable restored miner's cottage, impeccably clean and decorated. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, but not intrusive. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend it to others. The only suggestion we have is to have TV service; we missed watching the news and of course, HGTV. Needless to say, the trek up and down the 75 steps was great for the gluteus maximus!

“A Luxurious Step Back in Time”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2015

If you're looking to relax and enjoy history in a charming cottage with fabulous views, this property is for you. We loved it from the moment we opened the gate to our secret hideaway. Our hosts were all about the details and spoiled us with extras like fresh juice, local coffee and other goodies. The cottage is a perfect size for a couple with a roomy bathroom, cozy kitchen and wonderful outside areas to take in Bisbee's amazing one-of-a-kind views. As busy professionals, this was the perfect place to unplug and regroup. Lots of walking and quiet time at night in excellent restaurants. A unique and special experience. The town of Bisbee has our hearts and we will be back!

“Worth the 75 steps”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2015

This trip was a much needed after the holidays getaway for my husband and myself. We LOVE the Doublejack Guesthouse even the 75 steps. Enjoyed just relaxing and watching the birds feed at the bird feeders. The accommodations were excellent from the fixings for breakfast, the large bed and claw foot tub. We will be back to visit in the future!

“It simply DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS, folks!”

Reviewed 26 Jan 2015

This is about the 5th time I have stayed at Double Jack Guest House. There will be many more - but I see that I will need to start booking ahead - way ahead since their calendar is really full. There is a reason for this. It is simply the best place to stay in Bisbee, hands down. I have stayed at pretty much every other guest house, old hotel, old school, "grand hotel" - and they certainly have their charm here and there. They also have their worn out look of mismatched furnishings from the 1980s, loud neighbors, no central air/heat - or sometimes even private bathroom. Everything in the guest house is top notch. The bathroom is gorgeous with a claw foot tub - great for soaking and reading! - and a shower big enough for several people that has two amazing adjustable heads of fierce water action. The bedroom has a high quality mattress as well as excellent quality sheets and pillows. There is also a killer view of the thousands of birds that are literally a foot away outside - the boys feed them every morning. A family of red cardinals were totally showing off a few weeks ago. the common room has a great stove, tons of pantry space with cooking supplies, etc (I cooked meals there and ate them on their stunning private patio - way up and above looking down at downtown Bisbee) - The fridge is stocked with eggs, fresh milk, butter, a few other things - a fantastic artistan loaf of sour dough bread, local coffee beans. This guest house is IT - meaning that you have no immediate neighbors. There is only one guest house. It is about as private as you could dream for. The boys are wonderful, helpful, and pretty damn charming. Watch out for their dog, Trixi, she loves to nestle between your legs! Again - the hosts seem to vanish when you want privacy, and are totally on call when you need anything. My favorite memory of the last recent visit was making coffee, poached eggs and toast (there is a toaster and every other kitchen thing you need...) and walking up to the newish second tier of their private observation terrace - Was I in a lovely European town 100 years ago? Overlooking quaint downtown Bisbee, with it's wind-ey brick narrow roads, the lovely Cafe Roka for amazing food, and artists galleries everywhere - I was totally transported. Spend the extra 20 or 30 bucks from the not so great other places and stay here. I have been told that about 80% of their business is from return people and recommendations. They are right.

“I felt as if I was in a fairy tale while staying at the DoubleJack”

Reviewed 26 Jan 2015

The DoubleJack is quietly nestled in the heart of Old Bisbee. It allows you to sit and breathe in the beauty of the red mountains and the songs of migrating birds without leaving the porch. After a hot cup of coffee and a shower (the shower is amazing), you can head out on foot to explore the town. This location is walking distance to a brewery, bars, restaurants, shops, museums and more. I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. The bedroom was comfortable. The space was beautiful. You could see that Bob and Jeff really care about your experience! I feel blessed to have been in Bisbee and stayed at the DoubleJack. It's the perfect place to go and refuel!
