Description
Hope Terrace is a double fronted end terrace in Matlock Bath dating back to 1874 that has been renovated to a high standard and has been beautifully decorated throughout. The house has 3 floors and its layout is perfect for families or couples. On the ground floor there is a large fully equipped kitchen/dinning room and a living room with a multi fuel burner. On the 1st floor there is a large king size bedroom, a small bedroom with bunk beds (Bunk beds are full size singles but we would recommend that only a small adult sleeps in the top bunk) and a bathroom. On the 2nd floor there is a large king size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room. Both of the king sized bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. To the front of the property is a private, small-enclosed courtyard with seating. There are lovely views across the rooftops towards the hillside above Stalkholmes. The amenities of Matlock Bath including shops, cafes and pubs are a few minutes walk away, and the attractions of the Peak District are all close by making it a wonderful year-round base.

Dogs
We welcome one small/medium furry friend but we do ask that they are not allowed upstairs at any time. We have a stair gate to assist you during your stay and they must be able to sleep downstairs independently. We have very limited outdoor space so your dog must be fully house trained, there is a tiny courtyard at the back of the house for emergency wee’s! Pets must not be left home alone at any time. We do not charge extra but do request that you respect our doggie rules.
Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco will all deliver to Hope Terrace.There is a large Sainsburys and Co-Op in Matlock.
Hen/Stag and all male/female groups - please ring before booking so that we can ensure the house is suitable. The house is not suitable for late night parties and loud music as it is an end terrace and we don't want to upset our neighbours!!

The house has full gas central heating and wireless Internet. In the living room there is a 32 inch smart TV with Free view. Fuel, power, bed linen, and a starter pack of coal and firelighters are included in the rental rates. 1 high chair, 1 travel cot (not bedding), baby monitor and stair gates are available free of charge on request. Guests are welcome to bring additional travel cots if required. There are many books and DVD's that guests are welcome to use including information detailing many walks starting from Hope Terrace and from other points around the Peak District.

“Weekend with friends”
We have been fruends for over 40 years and Hope Cottage enabled us to spend a weekend together to attend a wedding nearby. We enjoyed breakfast together and lots of walking. We had fun at the Heights of Abraham. Beds very comfy and cottage well equipped. We would recommend. Washbasin in main bathroom was only big enough to clean our teeth though.Owner was easily contactable regarding any questions before and during our stay.

“Great stay shame about the booking experience”
Very well equipped house for all age ranges 3 generations stayed here. Like the library included maps and games. Ideal house lay out for 2 families who may have needed some privacy. It worked well because it had 2 bathrooms and the bedrooms were over 2 floors. Kitchen well equipped for foodies. Nice setting up a hill to accommodation not useful for people with different needs. Area great walks and food outlets.

“Great family place”
Had a lovely weekend here with family. Very well thought out great entertainment for the kids with games and a wii. Good location for the illuminations. Limited parking but plenty available in the car parks nearby worth buying a 3 day rover pass from the council as can be used throughout Derbyshire. It’s a lot bigger than it appears in the Photos.

“Perfect family home from home”
This is probably the best equipped holiday home we've ever rented. From kitchen equipment to games and DVDs, this house had everything. Incredibly comfy beds too, which always helps! Perfect for 7 of us, loved being able to get everyone around the kitchen table for dinner and card games after.
