“A peacful oasis in the wilderness of the city.”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2014

Although we were not assigned the cottage that was shown in the ad, even after enquiring if this was an updated picture and told that it was; we were okay with the much older cottage that we stayed in. It was clean, recently renovated and had 2 bedrooms, a shower and kitchen with all the utensils needed to cook. No television, (we couldn't get it to work) no phone; gave us the needed 2 days of rest after a very busy month of mission work. The private beauty of the surrounding foliage made us feel that we were in the jungle, even though we were on the edge of Karen. I was intrigued with the other buildings in the compound and would love to know the history of the estate. ??? I know there is a story to be told! Beautiful birds and flowers, manicured shrubs lining the lane leading to the cottage, added to the ambiance. We even glimpsed a monkey strolling down the flagstone pathway. Would definitely return if the opportunity arises. Security was present and appreciated. Overall? It was a great mini vacation! Also--several places to visit and shop in the area, if you have transportation! They can help you with transportation service so that you can explore the area.
