The Bird's Nest Holiday apartment hosted by Peak District Holidays - situated in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District.

We are open for new bookings from Sat 4th July 2020, after Stringent Public Safety Measures in place & Deep Sanitisation top to bottom in line & Visit England Guidlines!

We are pleased to say we have been awarded 5 Star Gold Award for another year! - VisitEngland’s unique Gold and Silver awards are given in recognition of exceptional quality within a property’s star rating or for outperforming a star rating.

*Please note Short breaks are available:

Minimum 2 Nights stay at weekends only

Minimum 3 nights stay all other times (except for Christmas)

Different nightly rates apply depending how long your stay is for!

This luxurious 1st-floor apartment with 1 double bedroom & 1 Twin bedroom was fully refurbished and opened for bookings in June 2003. Since then we have been updating the apartment's facilities and decor. in the 1st year It was officially awarded the highest rating of the English tourist board - the Five-star Quality Rose, and have kept the Five star rating every year up to now! and for the last 5 years it has been given the even better 5 Star Gold Award!

Ever increasing in popularity, it has been used by visitors from all over the UK and the world - from Hampshire to Hong Kong! We receive many return bookings from our guests, so we are confident that this apartment will provide you with a lovely holiday.

The Bird's Nest is exquisitely decorated and furnished throughout, and care was taken to preserve its natural features which include a period fireplace and exposed floorboards.

During these Corvid Restrictions, we respectfully like to draw our intended guests attention to the following

In the event that any of the guests develop Corvid 19 Symptoms, before checking in or during their stay, they would be regretfully asked to cut short their break, go home & seek attention.

They can have their holiday in full anytime when available during the next 12 months.

If they had to leave before the end of their booked stay (except the last day) they would be allowed to avail those remaining days in future within the next 12 months. Unfortunately No Refunds can be allowed due to extra work involved.

At present due to Government Guidelines, we can only accept bookings from up to two different households.

Any Bookings will be an acceptance of the above conditions.

“Amazing place to stay”

Bird's nest is a truly wonderful place to stay. It had everything we needed for our Christmas break and the hosts were very attentive. The accommodation is perfectly located and not far from local amenities/attractions. We took our 3 year old with us who loved the space too. We will be returning in the future. Thank you

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Abid and Susan (the owner) a message.

If Abid and Susan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
