Description
Delicious boho-chic pad in the midst of vines and sunflowers. Dunk in the pool gazing up towards the trees, go shopping in Bordeaux, wine tasting in St Emillion, soak up the impressive local produce markets then back to unwind in total peace
Airy and light-drenched with a bohemian twist. Manoir Laurette is an elegant 200-year old stone manor house filled with curios, artwork and furniture collected from around the world– an artist's work bench is now the dining room tables, a striking fireplace is watched over by stag's head, an Andalucian flamenco dress hangs on a wall.
In other lives the building has been a coach house, winery and a restaurant, now it's a fabulous get-away-from-it-all for couples and families in search of some serious relaxation. Three guest rooms all with an ensuite. Bathrooms are newly kitted out with luxury 'Burlington' fittings. A huge high-ceilinged stone walled living room flows into an beautiful breakfast room looking out onto the gardens. The house is perfect also for yoga, writing or painting courses. Outside there's a large garden with fruit trees, a cypress avenue, lily pond (frog concerti!) and salt pool.
Manoir Laurette is slap bang in the middle of wine-tasting country, the steepled church in Lorette is a two-minute walk and for trips out sup champagne and oysters in Arcachon or hang out in chic Bordeaux.
