Description

Here at "Gite des Vignes" we are focused on providing you with your ideal holiday in the heart of the Limousin. Our department, Haute Vienne is famous for it's forests, lakes and stunning countryside and you can enjoy them all during your stay.
Chateauponsac, our town, is a pretty little historic town with a lot of amenities close to the town square and market place, we have bars/restaurants, banks, bakers, coffee/tea shop, supermarket and tourist information. The ancient historic heart of the town, where you will find "Gite des Vignes", is centered around the old church, which has a superb little museum in it's square, Joan of Arc is reputed to have stayed here. You can spend many a happy hour meandering around the narrow streets and discovering all the town has to offer or, you could take a picnic with you and spend tranquil hours by the river.
The newly renovated gite forms the lower floor of our three storey home, it has a private entrance and a small garden at the back to enjoy the stunning views, BBQ and al fresco dining, it is completely self-contained and separate from us. The garden is completely secure so, very safe for your dog if you wish to bring one with you.
On your arrival you will enter through the small porch and enter open plan kitchen/diner and lounge. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need including, small electric oven, two electric rings, microwave, fridge and all the usual smaller electric appliances. The lounge area has a lovely comfy sofa and a TV/DVD player.
Leading from this area via a door you will find the bedroom with a double bed and plenty of storage and, the large bathroom with shower.

The gite is available all year round and for short breaks and longer stays. Please get in touch to check on availability for your holiday.
