Description
In A Quiet Residential Area near The Village Centre With The Beaches A Short Drive
Jean Moulin is a terraced family village house with inflatable pool, very near to the centre of the historic village of Elne.
It is a few minutes walking distance to all commercials, restaurants and bars. It is a 10/15 minute drive to the coast with the long sandy beaches of St Cyprien and St Cyprien Marina which nestles on the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and beautiful mountains There is loads of seaside fun to be had in an area that is guaranteed to have 365 days of sunshine!
The house has been repainted this year and is maintained to a high standard. We have planted a lemon tree, an orange tree, a fig tree and a couple of vines in the garden. When there is fruit on the trees guests of the house are welcome to eat what they want of the fruit available.
From its elevated position, Elne dominates the Roussillon Plain, as it has done for 3000 years .
It has seen 26 centuries of history and was the bishop's seat from the 6th to the 17th century.
The town still retains evidence of its long history and of the successi civilizations, which have influenced it - Roman remains; majestic Cathedral; Medieval Cloister and Ramparts.
The International Golf Course of St Cyprien is a 10 minute drive away and is open to members of the public. The Golf Course has a swimming pool, 2 restaurants as well as a 4 star restaurant overlooking the Golf Course.
The nearest marina of St Cyprien has over 30 restaurants as well as bars, night clubs and a casino. There are also many beach bar/restaurants that are close by where you will have the most spectacular views of the mountains, sea and sunsets. The property is only a 25 minute drive from Perpignan Airport or 1 hour from Girona Airport.
Furnished to a good standard this lovely Village house will accommodate 8 persons comfortably.

What is there to do?
ELNE market is held on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays for all your family shopping! There are local tennis courts, where you can pay per hour (approx €5) and also a local outdoor swimming pool in the Summer months.
If you love walking or running, the lake at Villeneuve de la Raho is about 6 Klms away and is about 7 klms of a walk with beautiful scenery. Be aware that there isn't much shade and in high Summer you are better to set out early!
Why not go into Perpignan for the day and enjoy the wide range of shops and restaurants that are available in this exciting City? You could also take the opportunity to visit the Palace of the Kings of Majorca.
Nearby, St Cyprien has an International Golf Course, Horse-riding, Fishing, Water sports of every description, Diving, Boat trips, Boat hire Charter, Bird watching on the Canet lagoon colonised by pink flamingos, Wine-tasting at the nearby Chateau’s, Sigean African Wildlife reserve on 645 acres, or why not take the yellow train from Villefranche-de-conflent to 5,000ft above sea level for some of the most spectacular views in Europe. Mountain Walking, Water-rafting, Hang gliding, or take in the spas of Amelie-les-bains, visit the wonderful resort of Collioure where many artists have been inspired by the picturesque landscape such as Matisse and Derain. Try all the wonderful restaurants and bars that St Cyprian Marina has to offer – or in season why not go to the beautiful beach bar restaurants and watch the sunset – let the children play in the sand after dinner while you relax with a glass of wine. For shopping
For the young ones there is Aqualand or Argeles Adventure Park and on St Cyprien port in the summer there is a fair! There are also children’s rides available near some of the restaurants and don’t forget the miles of sandy beaches and the beautiful blue Medettarian Sea there is to play in !! Depending on the time of year and on which weeks you are here there are also many firework displays and fetes!
