Description from owner

Description

• The Villa of the Aqueduct is a beautiful and extremely unique villa built in the 1500s around the ruins of an ancient aqueduct.

• Located in a dramatic position in a hilltown at the bend of Tiber River, the villa has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

• Please Note: While staying at the villa without car is possible, to make the most of your time spent in this beautiful part of Italy, we recommend having a car to reach the station and sites not connected by public transportation.

• The Villa of the Aqueduct was recently completely renovated to both preserve the historic architecture and make it a luxurious retreat for the modern visitor. The exterior, decorated in the 16th century with etchings called sgraffiti, has been meticulously restored by a team of world class art restorers. The interior has been beautifully updated by the owners - two architects specializing in historic preservation and design.

• The elegant and spacious home has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a grand living room, state of the art kitchen, and a landscaped garden terrace with sweeping panoramic views. The villa is tastefully furnished with both antique and modern furniture.

• The well-connected villa is in the perfect location - 3 km to a train station, you can easily reach Rome in 45 minutes, Florence in 2 hours, and countless other prime destinations easily.

• Located in the medieval hilltown of Orte, you can enjoy an authentic experience in the heart of Italy.

• The villa of the aqueduct is also a beautiful and unforgettable venue for intimate weddings and celebrations.

• Choose our beautifully appointed historic villa for your trip to Italy.

The home, in addition to being a tremendous value (3500 sq ft at very competitive all-inclusive rates), is spacious, light-filled, elegant, and full of carefully designed architectural details.

• Please Note: While we welcome all families and private groups of friends, we do not rent the villa as a base for third party commercial activities.

"Italy is a dream that you'll keep returning to for the rest of your life" - our villa is worth being part of that dream!
