Enjoy coffee on the balcony with a view of Modica's historic castello, or relax with a glass of Sicilian wine in your private interior terrace. Ideal for five people, it can comfortably accommodate seven, thanks to a comfortable fold-out sofa.

About Modica: Modica is a UNESCO World Heritage site, in recognition of its 'Sicilian Baroque' architecture. It is also famous for its distinctive--and delicious--artisanal chocolate. The historic centre includes restaurants and cafes, as well as live music, theatre, and, during the summer months, you can enjoy movies and performances under the stars. The historic centre is compact, and easily managed on foot. We think it's a lively and entertaining place, but still relaxed, casual, and quiet.
About Southeastern Sicily: Convenient day trips (by car, train, or bus) include historic, cosmopolitan, and beautiful Siracusa, Caltagirone (famous for its ceramics) and UNESCO-protected Baroque splendour of cities such as Noto, Scicli, and Ragusa. Nature lovers will enjoy the delights of nearby beaches, (such as Pozallo, Sampieri, and Donnalucata) or hiking in scenic gorges. Discover ruins of classical antiquity and early Christian history at nearby sites such as Akrai, or the Roman mosaics of Villa Romana del Casale. “Total satisfaction!”
From the moment we booked we knew we were on to a winner. Rosanna's emails were so friendly and helpful and her blog was full of useful tips. Her restaurant and beach recommendations all proved reliable and we had one of the best days of our trip when Giorgio took us to Maria's farm for a stupendous 4-course home cooked meal and drinks for 20 euros! Giorgio is a treasure - a mine of information. Accommodation-wise everything has been thought of - it is very comfortable, like staying at a friend's house. Plenty of tourist info. books and maps, cookery books, and store cupboard basics. The bottle of local vino on arrival was a thoughtful touch and very nice too! Thank you for making us so comfortable during our short stay.

“A lovely house, simple, stylish and comfortable and a great base for exploring Modica”
The manager Giorgio made us feel very welcome. The house is in a great quiet location and a short pleasant walk from the the shops and cafes. I slept on the sofa bed and was perfectly comfortable and although there were five adults all together the house was spacious enough for us to not feel cramped. The lovely old stonework and tasteful decor was just right. Quite sad to leave Modica after such a lovely stay.
