Turkey’s Nest Rainforest Cottages at Mt Glorious is a perfect retreat from the bustle of city life, close to the city, yet a world away. Adjacent to D'Aguilar National Park, Turkey's Nest is a registered Wildlife Refuge, and we unfortunately cannot allow pets.

Relax in your private cottage with a cosy wood fire, views to the rainforest, and birds visiting your verandah. Take a rainforest walk, stop at the local cafe, then back to your cottage for a massage, reading a book, a long soak in the bath, sipping wine, a romantic candlelit meal, port and chocolates - how much more relaxing can it get?

Nestled in 15 acres of tranquil rainforest just 45km north-west of Brisbane, Turkey’s Nest offers an authentic, rustic atmosphere, yet includes all modern conveniences for a truly relaxing bush getaway.

Ideal for a romantic escape, Rose Gum Cottage (one bedroom - Queen bed), has a full kitchen and a toasty wood combustion heater to relax beside on cool evenings, living and dining areas overlooking the forest, verandah with views, and a large bathroom with relaxing bath..

We take pride in the homely atmosphere, tasteful decor, attention to detail, and the personal touches of flowers, candles and chocolates. It is a special place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.

Situated in the D’Aguilar Range 620m above sea level, Mt Glorious offers welcome relief from the summer heat (nights can get quite cool even in summer – be sure to pack a jumper). In winter, as mists waft through the rainforest, warm yourself by the fireplace, with a glass of wine, a good book, and of course our complimentary port and chocolates.

Massages are available by arrangement. To extend your stay, we may be able to arrange early check-in or late check-out. Please enquire when you book. A porta-cot and high chair are available for hire.
