Description

'Lake Haven' is located on Monte Verde Lake with a priceless view of Wheeler Peak and the lake. A wonderful place in summer or winter, for a group or just a couple wanting to feel like they’re retired and enjoying the "golden years" (or maybe you are!). Relaxing & convenient.

The spacious living room has a seating area around the fire place and another around the TV. A reading nook next to the fireplace is a favorite place to curl up. A large, fully stocked kitchen has a table for 4 and room for everyone to create wonderful memories. Our dining room seats 10.

Four of the 5 bedrooms have lake and mountain views. On the main floor is the master bedroom with a king bed and across the hall is a small bedroom with twin bed. On the lower floor there are two bedrooms with queen beds. and a third bedroom with a full bed, and another twin bed.

The large deck has a spectacular view of the lake where you can relax, sip coffee or have dinner while watching elk, deer and all kinds of animal life roam by. The garage has a ping pong table to host some friendly competition.

FOUR WHEEL DRIVE is NOT needed since we have a flat driveway & roads to the house. Quick, easy access to everything in Angel Fire (about a 5 minute drive to anything).

Response from the owner You have had that trip planned for so long, I'm really glad it was all you hoped for! We loved having you and thank you. Now for that darn satellite system…guest are heading there today, I will ask them to let me know the status. I hate (but love) that you and the last guest had troubles with it, but found so much else to do that you didn't even call me to let me know. For years when our kids were younger, they didn't know we had satellite. Then I forgot to call DISH and have it turned off while we were there. Argh, their all day outside exploring was interrupted by a need for Sponge Bob :-(

Response from the owner It was a pleasure working with your family! Angel Fire is a wonderful town and we love the location and space we have at Lake Haven! The cost to fish was a bit strange to me at first too, but then I learned you don't have to buy a required state fishing license and they stock the lake several times during the summer. That's why the fishing is pretty darn good! The kids & seniors cost is lower. I recommend in my description to check with the Monte Verde lake to see what the current prices are. Cheers!
