Description

A rustic style and romantic villa right on the tranquil Rasa beach in Buzios. Beautiful and private location with amazing, unblocked sea views. Excellent holiday option for a family with children, couple on a honeymoon, a group of friends or an artist soul looking for a quiet hideaway. We have staff living at the property in a staff house, who take care of the villa and the garden.

The villa is furnished with antique, and old, Búzian style furniture and a lot of artifacts and paintings around the world.

The ocean is just five meters away from our garden gate (see the lead photo). Spacious tropical garden with flowers, fruit trees and a herbal garden. Two decks, hammocks, grill.

Two suites (with AC), one quest bedroom (with AC). TV-room (with Sky cable; movie and sport channels etc), living-dining room and a fireplace room.

Bed-linen and towels (but not for beach use) are provided.

Bed-linen are not changed and washed daily unless quest opts for the optional maid service (basic, semi-automatic washing machine is available outside).

Two LED/LCD-TVs, stereos (music from pen-drive only or radio), DVD (in the bedroom).

Our kitchen is fully equipped. Medium size ref. and a separate freezer.

A caretaker couple lives at the compound (24 hours) in their own building and opens and closes the gate for quests, cleans the garden etc. Maid/cook service (cooking, cleaning, washing) is available for modest extra cost. Payment is done directly to the maid. Our maid speaks only Portuguese. Contract and scope of work, supervision, compensation is discussed between the renter and the maid, and salary is paid as a "diarista" /day worker at the end of each day.

We provide free Wi-Fi in the house.

The villa has normally a 3G signal, but the strength varies depending on the operator and the weather conditions.

Our bathrooms have electric showers.

Rasa center is 2 minutes by car (supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery and internet cafes) and Búzios historical center and Geriba beach are some 15-20 minutes away by car depending on the traffic.

Nearby (5 minutes by car) is a 18-hole golf course. Buzios offers also excellent facilities for water sports and fishing.

Minivans and buses pass by the villa (300 meters). Taxis are available (some 40-50 reais to the center) and ca be called to the villa.

The Rasa beach is good for swimming, kite-surfing and also for fishing. Turtles are commonly spotted at the end of Rasa beach. The beach can be windy at times, but also calm.

Distance to Rio de Janeiro is roughly 2 - 2,5 hours by car (by bus some 3 hours). Rental of a car is highly recommended as Búzios has 22 amazing beaches to visit and distances from on to another are long. Car rental companies are located in the town center.

The villa caretaker has pets (dogs), but they stay inside our kennel, when the villa is rented.

The villa is rented out as a pet friendly property (max 2 dogs well trained).

The villa is rented on self-catering basis. We try to provide some items for the first day (drinking water, soap, toilet paper etc). After that it is the responsibility of the renter to cover all above mentioned costs (food, drinking water, drinks, bathroom amenities, cleaning materials etc).

The owner or the caretaker has the right to enter the villa without further notice, in case of an emergency, sudden problem with electricity, water, sewage disposal, fire hazard or any issues related to possible damage to the property or complaints of the villa, including cleanliness, problems with electric appliances.

We ask our clients at all times to keep their valuables safe and locked. The villa owner or the staff are not responsible for any lost items what so ever.

The villa owner or the staff are not responsible for any accidents that may occur inside our outside of the villa. We ask our quests to look after their children while at the property.

Buzios suffers occasionally from power cuts. These may occur particularly during high season .The villa owner bares no responsibility for any problems that may occur from irregular power supply, water supply, cable-TV or internet service problems and no refunds are made due to this.

VERY IMPORTANT: IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO THROW TOILETTE PAPER IN THE TOILETTE. Trash bins are provided next to the toilette.

Response from the owner The review provided by Mr Gonzalo Gutierrez (Argentina) is totally fraudulent, false, intentionally misleading and unfortunately full of lies. Most of the problems were caused by the client himself. He had no respect for our house-rules and was not able or willing to communicate with our staff. He left our villa in an acceptable dirty condition and smelling requiring two days of cleaning and disinfection.
