“Cosy cottage, perfect getaway”
I found this beautiful rustic cottage after searching various site, I wanted a warm cosy feel with comfort for a way to discover Donegal and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. they had thought of everything that you might need to be comfortable and the cottage was decorated beautifully, they really have created the perfect getaway in a beautifully scienc locations, myself, husband and our dog holly can't wait to return
“Idyllic rural setting”
Wonderful cottage in the rugged Donegal landscape with a great view out the front. You really do get away from it all here but still have all the modern conveniences and best of all, a log fire in the sitting room for those cold nights! Don't worry if you've forgotten something - the cottage is well stocked and has lots of games to while away the hours when you aren't out exploring the surrounding countryside (including some amazing beaches) and the nearby villages. We'll definitely be back some day!
“Home from home with added extras”
This has all the comforts of home and then some! I have stayed here twice in a month and will be back again hopefully very soon. The latest stay with my family and dog was made even more enjoyable by the unseasonably warm weather and blue skies. Had it rained however we would still have had a wonderful experience. The owners have gone to such trouble to make sure anyone staying there feels comfortable and welcome. We loved the remoteness yet easy commuting distance from ardara and the beaches and golf course at Narin and Portnoo. It is such a gem of a cottage and we hope to be back many times over the coming year.
“The Best of Ireland!”
The cottage stay was the highlight of our trip. It's location was picture perfect and so was the way Colette had decorated. Everything that we needed was there and we couldn't have been happier!
“Peace and quiet in a stunning setting”
This cottage is everything the website promises and more! This is because Colette and Geoff have gone that extra step that makes all the difference to a holiday let - they have made sure that every home comfort you could need is provided and some. The setting is stunning and although at 1st sight seems a bit remote the location is perfect with other homes nearby and within easy driving distance of many beautiful spots to visit. My dog adored the beaches and its great to find somewhere where our little darlings are welcome! The super little town of ardara is only 10/15mins drive away - providing all the needs required - the best ice cream ever and even - for us sados - the internet access+coffee+scone in Sheilas! If you need a relaxing break - and lets face it who doesn't - this is the place. Will be recommending this to all my contacts and hope that someday I will be able to get back to this wee corner of Donegal. Many thanks to Colette and Geoff for a very relaxing week
“Very beautiful and homely cottage.”
This cottage has all the comforts of home and its situation is ideal for visiting the beautiful surrounding area. We truly enjoyed our stay.
“I've travelled to most parts of the world and this cottage is up”
The cottage was a delightful surprise. It is remote but has all the comforts we could have wanted. It was quiet, warm and peaceful even though there was a near gale outside. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
“Enchanting and quite peaceful...”
I have done my fair bit of traveling, but this is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. Our daughter who is 1/16th Irish has been begging us for years to take her to Ireland. Finally we were able to make her wish come true, and after traveling through Ireland looking up ancestral parishes and meeting old friends, coming to Colette's lovely cottage at the end of our journey was the best way to end a magical and intense trip for us. Thank you Colette!
The cottage is in a great location if you want to "get away from it all", just a few miles from lovely deserted beaches and spectacular scenery. It is beautifully decorated and the owner has thought of everything to make sure you feel at home, even leaving turf for the fire, towels, toiletries, everything you need in the kitchen to cook. I have already recommended it to my friends!
“We wanted a relaxing short holiday break for four adults and tha”
Great service from the owner helpful and friendly.Well equiped and decorated cosy home on the Glengesh Pass near ardara Town in Donegal.Good location for a walking holiday. We enjoyed sitting around a turf/wood fire at night chatting ,reading and listening to music after a busy day out enjoying the scenery. We had our small dog with us,she had great fun running on the lovely big beaches in the area.We would all go back!
