Description
This is a modern 3 bed townhouse conveniently situated in Clifden itself. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. The house is ideal for all holiday makers of all types including families. The house has separate living and kitchen/dining areas. Each of the three bedrooms sleeps two people. The main bedroom has an en-suite and also a separate patio. The house has facilities such as a washing machine and a dishwasher. The enclosed south facing patio area at the rear is ideal for bar-b-ques. Clifden is the capital of Connemara and it is the perfect base for touring the area. With its unique landscape, it attracts visitors from all over the world. There are nearby activites to suit all tastes. The mountains (Twelve Bens) are famous for hiking. Fishing is another very big activity in Connemara with its numerous lakes and streams. Clifden is also very convenient for golf and for watersports. You may wish to take trips to nearby islands such as Inishbofin or Clare Island. Other nearby tourist destinations include the Connemara National park and Kylemore Abbey with its Victorian walled garden. The larger towns of Galway and Westport are both just 1 hour drive away. Alternatively you may want to just relax around Clifden itself and partake of the good food and the lively music in a cosmopolitan athmosphere. There really is something for everyone. An allowance for electricity is also included in the rental cost.

It is unfortunate that you found the house a little cold and that it felt damp although the weather was not good when you arrived and that was certainly a contributing factor. In the West of Ireland, we can promise many things - scenery, music, atmosphere etc - but unfortunately we cannot guarantee good weather - even in the summer months.
