Villas Elena & Pelagia lies in a very attractive and romantic place, combining sea and mountains. Life is easy going enjoying the sun and the clear calm sea at a number of sandy and shingly beaches. Bali offers a large choice of taverns, restaurants, little shops, diving school, bars cafes. The nearest airport to fly into is Heraklion airport, with many daily domestic flights from Athens and several charter flights from European airports. Driving time to the villa is approximately 60 minutes. Chania airport, at 1,20 hrs away, has also large network of direct charter flights. Villa Pelagia is an ideal starting point for exploring North Crete, with its gorgeous mountain ranges, cultural monuments, coastal towns and stunning beaches.
Rethymno town, at a 10 min drive from the villa, offers colorful neighborhoods to stroll around and monuments to visit, such as the Venetian port, the Fortezza Castle, the old town with little shops and the open market.
Taking the inland drives, there is an impressive variation of mountain and coastal scenery.
The Psiloritis Mountains, with a number of gorges – Samaria Gorge being the most famous, traditional villages- Anogeia and Margarites. Meloni Cave, Arkadi Monastry is really close to the villa as well. The relaxing coastal resorts in the south and the west, will offer you a taste of the big blue, with golden beaches and clear waters.
In 45 min driving from the villa, you will find the post-card perfect beach of Preveli. Our property manager will be pleased to assist with suggestions for places to visit, tours, shops & restaurants.
