Description

Situated on the seafront the property enjoys uninterrupted views of Largs and Great Cumbrae. There are two bedrooms, one double to the front of the property and a small double to the rear with views of the garden and the hill beyond. There is a fully equipped dining kitchen with hob, oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. There is electric convection heating throughout. The lounge has a flat screen television. The property is available for rental throughout the year.

Please note this flat is on the second floor and is not suitable for guests with mobility problems.

Currently, there is no internet access.

“Amazing place!!”

We’re just back from a wonderful week away in Lilybank. The accommodation was brilliant with the most fantastic view of the sea. Our first visit to Bute and would definitely go back and stay at this accommodation. A great base for exploring but also very homely and a great place to relax in. Merle, the owner gave us some fab ideas of things to do and recommendations of places to eat, etc. Would highly recommend a stay at Lilybank. We were a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 preteen).

“Lovely holiday flat by the sea”

Lilybank had all we needed in a comfortable home for the week. The view was ever changing with the tides and we could watch the shorebirds feeding on the rocks from the windows. There is a nice walk along the coastal path to the lighthouse with many wild flowers and butterflies. It is a bit rocky in places so you have to step carefully. We saw porpoises in the sound between Bute and Great Cumbrae with Gannets and Sandwich Terns diving for fish. We enjoyed meeting Merle & Bill and seeing Bluebird K7 close up too at Mount Stuart. We also saw her run on Loch Fad and waved her goodbye on the ferry from Rothesay. All in all a good week although we missed the best of the weather.

“Peaceful comfortable flat in a scenic seaside location”

We had a lovely weekend here. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Rooms were well heated . Bed very comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and small appliances. There was a tumble drier in the outside hall cupboard. It was so peaceful and quiet and we immediately felt relaxed. The flat looks directly onto the shore where gulls, oyster catchers and even snipe were seen. We spent an interesting afternoon at Mount Stuart - definitely worth seeing. An ice cream from Zavaronis cafe in Rothesay was a treat! Good area for cycling and walking Altogether a great weekend getting away from it all and we would certainly like to return

We would not hesitate to return again to Lily bank. I am looking forward to our next visit. Very welcoming,.Very Happy with everything.. Peaceful and Serene. Merle was very patient and kind. The Internet connection I had wasn't good at all, meant I had no access to my information, re: what we needed to know about our stay. It was absolutely no trouble at all that I needed to contact Merle. ( next time though I shall take a copy of the info with me!). Seems sensible. Why didn't I think of that?. Very special little place. If you get the opportunity to get away to rest and recuperate. Choose Lily bank. You won't be disappointed!!. Kind regards Rachel and Robert
