Spacious two bedroom accommodation; Super-king bedroom and twin/super-king bedroom, The Croft is fully fitted to make your holiday as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, with wood-burner and all modern applicances. In a lovely rural setting, The Croft is situated in a small hamlet of houses to the north east of Loch Leven; you can cycle and walk from the front door; the National Cycle Network and the Loch Leven Heritage Trail are both accessed from the end of the farm track, with the Trail providing safe off-road walking and cycling around the Loch to Kinross and RSPB, nature reserve at Vane Farm. You can walk to our local pub, the Balgedie Toll, which is only a 5 minute walk away and offers a full lunch and evening menu. At the end of our track we have the award winning Loch Leven Larder farm shop only 3 minute walk away. This offers shopping along with daytime food/drink, including a deli counter, and other locally sourced foodstuffs. Centrally located with Golfing and Shooting within a 10 minute drive, you can also cycle and walk from the front door. Kinross is less than 10 minutes by car, with Sainsbury's, Co-op and other shops/services as well as good motorway access. Kinross also has a Park and Ride Bus Stop linking the area to Edinburgh, Stirling, St.Andrews and beyond. Perth and Knockhill are only 20 minutes away by car, Gleneagles and St.Andrews are both within 35 minutes, Edinburgh, Stirling and Dundee are 40 minutes.

“What a Find”
The Croft had it all for us. Location, walks from the doorstep, comfort, tranquility. It was very well equipped for family use and was very clean. The tea, coffee, milk, etc and fresh flowers made us feel very welcome. Beds are enormous and incredibly comfortable. We will never forget seeing our first red squirrel in 43 years hopping across the orchard! Also lucky enough to experience migrating geese in perfect formation on several occasions. And to top it all - several sunsets, something we miss living as we do in a gorge in Shropshire. Thank you Julie.

Response from the owner So pleased you enjoyed your stay. It’s great to see that all the planning in the cottages is appreciated and makes for a stress free stay. The cottage is fully insulated, with modern electric heaters with thermostats set to a comfortable temperature, maintaining a warm space regardless of external weather. Glad you enjoyed exploring this central area of Scotland and some of the treasures on offer both in the immediate area and more widespread.

“Great Base”
The Croft is an excellent cottage from which to explore Scotland. It is beautifully presented, spacious and has everything you need to make it home from home. Fresh flowers and home made biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. We sat each morning having breakfast looking out to the view's over Loch Leven from the patio. Lots to explore in the area, cycle paths, walks and a friendly pub in walking distance which serves good food. We travelled to Edinburgh, Sterling, St. Andrews, Pitlochry, Glamis and also walked a couple of Munroes and cycled Loch Leven all in a week. And finally the sun shone all week.
