Welcome to the beautiful Bahamas! We are so happy to join the vacation rental family and would love for you to come stay with us at our brand new studio suite located in the West Grove by Saunders Beach. Literally, about a 45 second walk to the ocean or main bus route will be one of the highlights of your vacation, making getting around the least of your worries. A 10 minute walk the other way puts you right into the brand new Mega Resort of Bahamar and all the amenities surrounding it - the location doesn't get any better!
Along with the great spot is a newly renovated studio suite armed with the latest and greatest in necessities - brand new air conditioning, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, the whole place is new new new. Also equipped with cable TV and high speed wireless internet, this is also the perfect spot for a business traveler to set up office away from those crazy resort amenities. Home alarm systems and security features also contribute to a peaceful state of mind while relaxing on vacation.
The owners of the property work in the hospitality industry as well and have many great insider tips (and prices!) to what to do and how to plan your vacation too, so please don't forget to ask about that in your inquiries as well!

Response from the owner Hey Dawn thanks for your feedback. I'd like to go back to all of our previous email correspondences before you threatened to give us a poor review unless we gave you a refund for nights you chose to leave for. - This is a residential neighbourhood AWAY (which the listing clearly states) from resort amenities - if you are looking for a busy thriving environment all within minute walks to shopping and dining I would recommend you stick to resorts. This is the case for the majority of rentals on the island. - The beach is one block away (you walk past 4 houses - please use Dawn's map or google as reference). I really don't know what wall you keep talking about, but if it truly is bothersome and inconvenient to get to where you're trying to go by walking, again I would suggest you book something ON the beach or waterfront next time. - The bus schedule is the bus schedule, we spoke about rentals and scooters in previous emails before you arrived if you wanted and again, you chose not to. - The safety features of the house are standard for the Bahamas - bars, gates, and also the dogs are there to enforce that (which these are rescue pups who are part of the family). And actually just to compare, all Embassy homes require these features for rentals in Nassau, you are in the capital, the city - this is standard. - The area boasts MANY rentals, anyone can look up the inventory. I feel that your review is bias and damaging to not only our listing but painting an ugly picture of our beautiful Bahamas. To also say you never saw us, well, a) you didn't even get there until after dinner and as always, b) to respect privacy between guests and homeowners you probably wouldn't unless you popped over or saw you in passing. I was very responsive to answer emails and questions even after you took off. I also offered out of courtesy if I could fill your nights I would reimburse the 2, and even after that didn't happen I offered to SPLIT your 2 empty nights so no one would be out of pocket. EVEN though the cancellation policy says otherwise. To the future travelers and guests to Nassau, please ask and let me know if you have any questions at all, ever! If you are looking for the hustle and bustle, I would highly recommend staying somewhere touristy or at a hotel, and if you're trying to escape that but be close enough to choose, we are welcome to have you on your next trip in!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Deb (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
