“beautiful private home, commuting distance to venice and the dolomiti”
We stayed two weeks at Monte Grappa BnB, and they were two weeks that set the standard for every other place we stayed during 3 months in Europe. The house was by far the best equipped, a highly functional home in every sense. The kitchen is fantastic, great cooker, fridge and utensils, with a cosy dining area. There is also a comfortable lounge, and bathroom with bidet and shower, all downstairs. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom, with a second bed in the open plan, that overlooks the courtyard. The house makes clever use of the space, and it feels large, yet compact. The interior design is quite stunning, all simplicity and clean lines, with the aesthetic arising from functionality, in the way found in japanese architecture. But this is, of course, a renovated centuries-old Italian farm building, and meticulous care has gone into the choice of materials. You are staying in a work of art. Sebastiano's family lived in it while they built the house next door in which they now live, and they spared nothing to make it a comfortable, attractive and functional home. The house opens onto a courtyard, shared by Sebastiano's family and a very old couple who have lived there all their lives. If that sounds crowded, be assured it is not. The house is at the end of a road that leads only to the mountain park, very private and very quiet. And Sebastiano is such a delightful person, generous, friendly and happy in the manner that makes Italian people so wonderful to be around. And the older couple are also friendly; I'm sure they have interesting stories, though they keep to themselves. The courtyard is an excellent place for dining or just sitting outdoors, with a view back to the mountain with gliders soaring overhead. The BnB is just a few minutes from the Paradise landing field, and five minutes by car from the Garden Relais, which is the main paragliding/hangliding field. Bassano del Grappa is one of Europe's prime free flying sites. Bassano is a tourist destination in itself, and the BnB is about 15 minutes by car. There are many worthy places to visit within an hour's drive, and the house is the perfect base. It is also, significantly, within commuting distance of Venice: the train leaves from Bassano and takes less than an hour. Day tripping is the far preferable way to visit Venice, and this is the ideal place to stay. Having stayed here once, we returned some weeks later and stayed nearby in order to visit Venice again. Unfortunately, Monte Grappa was unavailable for us then, so we had a chance to look around for an alternative. And believe me, there is nothing to match Monte Grappa BnB.

“Una casetta in val Santa Felicita”
Abbiamo soggiornato in questa B&B per un weekend e siamo stati benissimo!!! E' una casetta totalmente indipendente di due piani: sotto c'è la cucina, il salotto con TV e divano letto ed un ampio bagno, sopra c'è un soppalco grandissimo con una camera da letto matrimoniale e lo spazio per un letto singolo, l'esterno offre un bellissimo giardino con gazebo e divanetti immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità - insomma c'è tutto il necessario per soggiornare comodamente e in piena libertà sia per una coppia o per una famiglia di 3/4 o max 5 persone. Il contesto è la cosa che mi è piaciuta di più: la casetta è all'inizio della val Santa Felicita a Romano d'Ezzelino a 10min da Bassano e ai piedi del monte Grappa, qui la tranquillità regna sovrana! Per chi invece vuole fare un po' di attività a pochi passi dalla casa partono diversi sentieri che salgono nelle montagne tutto attorno fino ad arrivare anche a Cima Grappa e per i più spericolati c'è la possibilità di lanciarsi col parapendio o il deltaplano dalla montagna difronte (Campo Croce) infatti il cielo sopra la casetta è sempre punteggiato di paracaduti colorati che volteggiano in aria prima di atterrare a Semonzo a 2Km dalla casa. Quindi relax o attività assicurate per tutti!!! E per chi ama le visite culturali o eno-gastronomiche a 5Km c'è Bassano del Grappa con il suo famoso "Ponte Vecio" e lo splendido centro storico ricco di locali tipici e osterie in cui degustare ottime grappe/spriz e aperitivi come il "mezo e mezo", insomma una città ricca di storia e tutta da gustare!
