Charmingly stylish, with amazing views , this 4 bedroom house is ideally situated in the heart of the village.
It is the perfect spot for stay-cation , work from home or a short or long term getaway. In the southern Charente, AUBETERRE, former stronghold is now classified as one France's prettiest villages.
The 220m2 house is full of character and has been renovated keeping the core of architectural details yet including all modern amenities.
As you walk in the house you are met by the fragrance of yesterday, today and tomorrow…It is a fresh combination of beautiful pieces, that the owner has collected over the years, reflecting her love for vintage,antiques and quirky pieces.
Terra Alba features 4 bedrooms(sleeps 8/10).
The top floor bedroom with its thick stone walls and original wooden beams features 1 king size bed and 2 twin beds and is ideal for a family. It has an en suite bathroom and a separate toilet.
The second bedroom is on the main entrance level and has a king size bed and en suite bathroom .
On the street level floor there are two bedrooms with shared bathroom and a separate toilet.
One with king size bed .The other bedroom on that level has a double bed and direct access to the garden!
All king size beds can be twin beds on request.
Baby cots are available on request.
Should you wish to be independent, there are two kitchens fully equipped to the highest standard (washing machine on street level floor).
The dining rooms and the lounges with mismatched furniture and a relaxed approach to displaying everyday objects soften the edge of this rustic village house.
On a chilly day, two Log burners will warm you up !
Both floors have access to the garden and to two lovely shaded pergolas should you wish to enjoy Al Fresco dining...!
The quaint garden is one of a few in the heart of the village overlooks the castle and village rooftops.
It is the ideal spot to relax, read, listen to the birds and watch the world gently pass you by.
Within a 10 minute stroll, we are sitting on the banks of the Dronne River and enjoying swimming in the river.
Within a 2 min, we are sitting and sipping wine in one of the many restaurants on the typical market place.
Sun loungers and barbecue are at your disposal.
Terra Alba is a TV free zone but wi-fi is available.
Easy parking on both of the free municipal parkings very close to the house.
The full house is ideal for inter generational family group .
We also accommodate small groups for painting workshops , photographic workshops ,or any tailor made holidays.
