New kitchen added to first floor laundry room (refrigerator, stove, microwave). Spacious master suite with garden tub and shower with two shower heads in master bath. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Rec room on first level with pool table, 65" Smart TV and third refrigerator. Dishwasher, 2 washer/dryers, 4 cable/internet TVs, wireless high speed internet access on each floor, water softener, ceiling fans throughout. Enclosed hot/cold outside shower, charcoal grill. Easy beach access. Nicely furnished covered and open decks with bonus views of Bogue Sound to the north. Maximum occupancy is 8 adults. Available year-round. No smoking. No pets. 614 Ocean Drive.

Response from the manager Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry for your disappointment, and we have shared your feedback with the owners of Tucked Away. It is true that some work is being completed at this home, and it is sure to please as the owners take great pride in ownership. While there is one bedroom that is inaccessible this year, we did notify your family and all other guests of this home when we were informed of the change to ensure the additional bedding would not be needed. We are sorry for any confusion that might have been caused if this was not relayed to best set your expectations. Also, it is just temporary and the 5th bedroom will be reopened next year. We appreciate you informing us of your disappointment via this review during your stay, so we could address each of your concerns. While we are unable to reopen the bedroom for you this year, we did supply the air mattress for additional bedding, and we did send someone to walk through the property to check out all other concerns that you had. One of our customer service representatives has been in touch with you, and she is still available to you should you want to discuss anything further. Again, we are sorry for your disappointment. It is our hope that you and your family still enjoyed your time in Emerald Isle and will reconsider returning to Tucked Away based on fond memories of your four previous vacations spent there.

Response from the manager We are so sorry your vacation was not what you had hoped for at Tucked Away. This is the first year this house has been rented and we are working with the owners on kitchen needs for our guests. We were not informed about the porch swing until you let us know, and the owners are mortified as this is one of their favorite spots on the deck, with a beautiful ocean view. A new Polywood swing has been ordered. The owners were told the AC units should last several more years, but have decided to replace both of them this fall. The construction is a concern, the house directly across the street was started in last November and should have been completed by your stay - we are not sure what is delaying the progress. Regarding the repairs and replacement of the glass top, we apologize for these inconveniences. The guest prior to you had broken the glass and it needed to be replaced and the leak was a backup from the downstairs AC unit that had to be cleared for the unit to operate. At Emerald Isle Realty your vacation experience is important to us and we want to continue to earn your business.
