Description

Air-conditioned gite with private swimming pool nestled in the countryside of southern France near the medieval town of Carcassonne. Wifi provided.

The interior includes an open plan living room - dining room - kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator/freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The living room has a television (with French channels via TNT and British channels via satellite), DVD player, and Play Station 2.

There are three bedrooms: the Green room, with a 160 x 200 bed, desk, and closet; the Terra Cotta room, with a double bed and shelves for storage; and the Blue room, with two single beds, a closet, and a selection of games, puzzles, and books.

The shower room includes a tiled shower, large sink and mirror, and a washing machine/dryer.

Outside, there is a patio with wooden table and chairs, extra-large parasol, and barbecue. The stone well with wrought iron tripod adds to the country charm. In the yard there there is a 4m x 6m swimming pool that is for the exclusive use of those renting the gite. In addition, there is a basketball hoop.

Covered parking is provided.

There are super markets, bakeries, restaurants and gas station within a 5 minute drive. We are located 20 minutes from the historic city of Carcassonne (and from the Carcassonne airport for those who wish to come via Ryan Air), 5 minutes from the picturesque Canal du Midi, and 50 minutes from the Mediterranean. Several Cathares castles can be visited in our area, as well as natural wonders such as the "grotte de Limousis", the "gouffre geant de Cabrespine", and the village of Minerve (built on a cliff). Canoe and kayak rentals, as well as bicycle rentals are available nearby.

Available year round. The owners, who speak English and French, live on site (separate entrance, parking and yard) and take care of cleaning the pool.

We live on-site (with a separate parking, yard and entrance), and we clean the pool every morning and turn the pool pump on in the morning and off in the evening. We are available to provide information on the area if desired, and should there be any problems, we do our best to take care of them as quickly as possible.

“Superbe séjour”

C'est le lieu qu'il vous faut pour passer d'excellentes vacances en famille ou entre amis. Niché au milieu des vignes, le calme et le repos sont absolus. Vous pourrez choisir de visiter les magnifiques sites autour ou de goûter au farniente au bord de la piscine. Nous n'oublierons pas l'accueil et la sincère gentillesse de nos hôtes.
