Located in the Irish Lake District on the Leitrim / Cavan border, our luxury log cabins enjoy an idyllic setting in mature pine forest on the banks of the Woodford River some 7km south of the market town of Ballyconnell. The location enjoys fantastic amenities for angling, walking, adventuring, caving and many other outdoor pursuits. For the less adventurous the chalets offer a wonderful relaxing environment with only the sound of birdsong and occasional children's laughter

Far from the madding crowd, our cabins are ideally suited for couples and families wanting to get away from it all and enjoy peace and quiet as they occupy an idyllic setting deep in the forest. Situated on the banks of the Woodford River the surrounding woodland is home to rare plant species and an abundance of wildlife. Our cabins make the most of their picturesque setting, affording peaceful woodland views and individual privacy. The cabins are equipped with everything you will need for a fantastic holiday, and the attention to the small details of design and finish are evident throughout.
The cabins are fully fitted with all modern conveniences including ceramic hob cooker and fan-oven, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dish-washer, coffee machine washing machine, satellite TV (Sky Freeview), CD / Blueray player, extensive library of various books and children's books and luxury spa bath. High quality bed linen and towels are provided.
The cabins can easily accommodate three couples in three bedrooms, three bathrooms (one en suite). Space to park three cars at each cabin. The cabins and balconies are totally non-smoking.
Please note that the cabins are suitable for couples and family groups wanting peace and quiet with a maximum occupancy of 6 adults and two additional young children.
We do not accept bookings from groups of unsupervised teenagers nor do we rent the property for "parties" and any misleading bookings for same will be cancelled on arrival.
Dogs are welcome but we do limit this to two.

“Stunning Cabin”
I can not fault the location/setting of this stunning log cabin. There was plenty of space for us all - 6 adults and 2 kids, it was very clean and it had everything we needed. Although, some of us did find it a bit of a struggle without Wi-Fi (network signal was also limited) but we definitely made the most of our time there. The hosts, Colin & Magda, were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the neighbours opposite (who we assumed are residents there), they were fairly noisy / playing loud music until the early hours over 2 nights of our 3 night stay. Although, I’m assuming this was a one off, so it may have been just a case of unfortunate timing for us.

“Fabulous”
This place is pure perfection, all I have ever dreamt of! The cabin (fantastic in itself) is located in the middle of forest very close to a river and a little boat marina, so plenty of opportunities for beautiful walks or to sit and relax listening to the sounds of nature. It's one of those places where the weather does not matter as its equally enjoyable on a sunny or a rainy day, we have spent a gorgeous morning sipping coffee on the patio watching the rain and it was lovely! The cabin is fully equipped, washing machine and dishwasher included, plenty of books, booklets about the attractions in the area, board games, TV, bbq etc, very comfortable beds and all very clean. We're already looking forward to come back next year, (with binocular to watch the squirrels and birds) , and we'd like to hire a boat for a couple of days too (looking online for a boat hire nearby) as the possibilities of boat trips are endless there! Big thanks to Colin and his daughter in law Magda for having us there and see you next year!

“Great For a Family get together”
We stayed here for 3 nights for a Family Birthday celebration. The log cabin was just perfect for the 6 adults and 2 Children that stayed .Everyone really loved it.It was absolutely spotless . The bottle of Prosecco left in the fridge went down a treat. The lady that greeted us, Magda , was so friendly and helpful. Thank you very much . I would definitely recommend it

“Perfect retreat for solitude”
Stayed here for a few days with 5 other adults, one toddler and our dog. Colin greeted us upon arrival and we spent a while chatting about the area and property. When I go to any place like this I always bring everything I think I’ll need but thankfully due to previous reviews they say you don’t need anything. I really cannot reiterate that enough, everything bar food is provided! Everything you need to cook for a full family and what you need to entertain them during the day is provided. Excellent documents are provided that show you great places to visit in the local area. We went to simply get away from our busy lives and relax in solitude and this provides that in spades. If you want to mingle Cavan is no more than 30 minutes away. Plenty of places to go and relax on a nice stroll, highly recommend killykeen forest park about 20 minutes away. The place is really easy to find the directions provided anyone can follow.
