“Les Deux Cypres Nr Uzes.”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2022

Your home is full of character and charm and a perfect stay for us. We sat one evening on the roof terrace, drinking our wine watching the swallows & swift’s circling overhead as the sunset coloured the stone buildings a beautiful warm glow - quite magical and truly a memorable moment. We will definitely be back to this wonderful area.

“Loved living in a village”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2017

We stayed four weeks. We loved walking through the small streets to the boulangerie for our morning bread and croissants. Excellent Boulangerie. Sometimes we had pastries and coffee in the afternoon, sitting at a table outside. Access to Uzes and Nimes was great, particularly Uzes which is less busy than Nimes. The location is wonderful for day trips. The house has many stories with various rooms. We loved the kitchen and patio when the day was cooler. The living room for relaxing and reading; the upstairs TV room for the evening. Best part was the wonderful bed!! Large room and AC and large bathroom with clothes washer. The roof top patio was lovely in the evening as the sun was going down, watching the starlings. Loved the bells from the old church three times a day. The house was well supplied with well thought out directions and information and maps about traveling about. Lots of stairs which we managed well. We like experiencing living in a town...this gave us what we wanted. Joel, the caretaker was wonderful when we needed him, which wasn't often.

Response from the owner Dear Carolyn Thank you so much for your lovely review and we have appreciated your sentiments about our holiday house as it is so different to an average "run-of-the-mill" holiday place. Being an ancient stone property with a cool downstairs sitting room, ideal for hot summers, it is equally comfortable in the early and late season with the upstairs TV/Sitting room. Thank you also for your nice comments on our caretaker Joel. We are very lucky to have such good friends in the village to look after the house. We would love to see you back one day. Meanwhile, take good care of yourselves and warm wishes, Inge & Robert. P.S. Please contact us about a letter addressed to you we found in our house.
