“Great stay in the Peak district excellent for dogs.”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2024

This cottage is ideally placed for walks in the Peak District and visiting Matlack and Matlock Bath. The cottage is perfect for dogs as the garden area I'd fully enclosed. There is also a paddock… More

“Old Coach House, Aldwark, Matlock”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2023

A lovely cottage with plenty of amenities within. Nigel, the host was always available for any issues, not that we had any. He also accommodated our three giant breed dogs for that we are incredibly grateful.Beautiful garden and courtyard. We hope to revisit sometime soon. The only downside is that there is nothing within walking distance if that is what you are after, having said that, being surrounded by fields and animals more than makes up for that.

“Absolutely fantastic!”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2019

We had a fantastic week staying in this beautiful cottage, we were made to feel very welcome, and the kids loved playing on the play equipment in the garden. The cottage is in a very quiet little village, and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, we particularly liked the live lambing at National Forest Adventure Farm. The cottage itself was perfect for our needs, immaculately clean, comfy beds, lovely and warm, with the added extra of a beautiful log fire. The owner has thought of everything and there were lots of additional extras in the kitchen and bathroom for us to use if we needed, for example oil, sugar, tea/coffee, shampoo etc. We will 100% be back again, thank you Nigel for making our stay fantastic.
