Description
La Paille is a beautiful Gite in the Gers region of Southern France. It is situated off a quiet rural road with unobstructed views across the rolling French countryside. The small town of Plaisance has shops, restaurants, bars and a supermarket (and of course the local wine cooperative) The larger towns of Marciac and Tarbes are a few miles away.
There is a beautiful lake at nearby Lupiac where there is a large sandy beach and a Summer cafe-bar. There's tennis at Plaisance and horse riding nearby. There is a wonderful Summer jazz festival held at Marciac each year with great music, food and drink.
There is a large, sunny terrace around the house and a pleasant grassy garden. The kitchen is well equipped and the large ground floor salon is cool in the Summer and warmed by a lovely wood burning stove in the cooler months. La Paille is quiet and peaceful location for a relaxing holiday in one of the nicest parts of rural France.
