Description

Le monastère a été construit avec la chapelle catholique en 1820 par le consul de France, Louis Brest, qui a participé à la découverte de la vénus de Milo et en a fait don au musé du Louvre à Paris.

Le monastère a été complètement rénové en 2015. Il est situé dans la ville historique de Plaka au sommet d'une falaise dominant la baie.

La terrasse offre une vue magnifique orientée plein ouest permettant d'admirer tous les soirs des couchers de soleils inoubliables. Avec le parvis de l'église orthodoxe elle est réputée dans tous les guides pour offrir le plus beau panorama de l'ile.

Toutes les pièces ont des plafond en voûte d'ogive de 4 mètres de hauteur.

Les 3 grandes chambres disposent de l'air conditionné et toutes les pièces sont équipées d'un ventilateur de plafond.

La terrasse est équipée d'un lit, de bancs en maçonnerie, d'une véranda et d'une grande table en bois (10 personnes) pour prendre les repas.
