Description

Situated in a medieval village of just 250 people, this is a charming, fully renovated home dating back to 1550. Many original features including stone staircase and vaulted ceilings.

The house sits in a maze of winding streets and features a beautiful, walled garden of 250m² with lawn, mature trees and dining terrace. Further private garden of 700m² situated 50m from the property with private pool 8 x 4m with pool-side summerhouse with bathroom and fridge.

Lovely living accommodation with many authentic features - vaulted and beamed ceilings. Ground floor with living and dining room and fully fitted kitchen. Cable TV.

Three bedrooms on the first floor, one ensuite and also a large family bathroom. 2nd floor twin bedroom.

Deluxe Weber 3-burner gas BBQ.

The property is located in small, Medieval hamlet, 15 min from Alès in the beautiful Gard département of Languedoc-Roussillon. Almost midway between Avignon and Nîmes.

The small village comprises a collection of charming village properties in a maze of winding streets.

Local amenities in Saint-Ambroix, 5 min. with supermarket, café bar, bakery and restaurants.

Les Fumades les Bains, 3 km with local restaurants.

Alès, 10 min. is a lovely, good-sized Provençal-style market town with all amenities and mayn excellent restaurants.

Uzès, 25 min, market town with all amenities and wonderful street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Nîmes - ancient Roman city with amazing amphitheater. Lots of traditional, pavement café bars and restaurants and winding streets with interesting shops.

Easy drive to Avignon with its unmissable Pope's Palace and famous half-bridge. Beautiful town with great shopping, huge choice of traditional restaurants, café bars and numerous summer cultural events.

The Pont du Gard, 45 min is second only to the Eiffel Tower in most visited sites and is a must see.

Mediterranean beaches; approx 60 min.

Ideal setting to enjoy peace, nature, old stones and monuments.
