Description
Wonderful Studio close to the beach with everything you need for a great time.
The location is in a little community at the inner bay, 100 yd to the beach down a sandy trail, about 10 miles from downtown La Paz.
There is a KING-SIZE BED with an excellent orthopedic mattress and for extra guests a Futon Sofa which converts into a twin bed.
For entertainment, there are plenty of books and a TV. We also have a nice fishing boat, sailboat, and kayaks for rent.
For the hot season, there are Air conditioning, ceiling fans, and upright fans. But the climate close to the beach is so comfortable, that the A/C is rarely needed.
The kitchen has stainless steel pots and pans, all silverware, cutting boards, bowls, a toaster, a coffee maker, a French press, a microwave oven, a 4 burner LP gas stove with oven, a fridge with freezer part, and everything to make a perfect meal.
But why slave over the hot stove? There is a restaurant in walking distance and 4 more nice eateries 3 driving minutes away, or walking about 15+ minutes along the beach.
Of course, there are plenty of restaurants in all possible ethnic orientations and many seafood places with the freshest fish and shrimp at very low prices.
Walk the beautiful Malecon and enjoy the real Mexican life.
Sure, a big city has also plenty of nightlife too, and with such an incredibly low crime rate, it is safe to enjoy it.
There are several nice assorted, low-priced grocery stores close by and if you like to shop in really big markets, Walmart is in 7 Miles..
Yes, if you don't just want to lay around the pool or the beach but like to explore the fantastic surroundings and bays, you need a car. It doesn't matter if you are right in downtown or at the inner bay like here.
La Paz is not a Tourist trap and the typical tourist infrastructure is missing.
There are gorgeous beaches and drives, but no public transportation and it would be a shame to miss it.
There is a bus from the next village to town, leaving about every 30 minutes from a stop 15 walking minutes away, but we also will drive you to the bus stop if you like.
Rental cars are cheap, but mandatory insurance is very expensive. There is NO third-party insurance in Mexico. Your coverage with your credit card is not valid here.
If you promise to treat our car like it is yours or even better, we give you a car for free. You only have to see an agency to make the insurance for it, which is lower than the rental car insurance since it is for a private vehicle. We won't let you drive without it.
Bring your international driver's license along. You get it fast and cheap up north.
Sorry, we have no nightlife here. No noise, no traffic, no drunks, and the only nightly entertainment is watching the huge Tecolote Owl fly who is nesting in the palm tree or watching the black Iguana come out of his hole in the 1,400+-year-old cactus.
Fix your nightcap and listen to the mild evening breeze rustling in the palm trees.
Bring your Spective with a tripod or at least your binoculars along if you like to watch birds.
There are so many, like the Road - runner who has his nest close by, Cardinals, Oreols, Quails, Wrens, different kinds of Finches, Humming Birds and so much more.
An Ornithologist will have a "field day" here.
If you want to see all the sea birds, from the blue and white Heron, Crane, and Boobies, to the Osprey, Seahawks, Fregat birds, Hereman Seagull, Cormorans, and so on, walk about 200 yds to a little Mangrove forest at the beach where you can watch all the sea birds you like.
We also have two beaches, separated by the Mangrove forest.
The first beach is about 150 yd, but on low tide a little shallow, at normal and high tide, it is nice to swim. A hurricane took most of the fine white sand off into the water, but just around the Mangrove forest is another fine sandy beach where you can swim at any tide.
The water is absolutely clean, with no pollution, and very safe.
It is also great for fishing and collecting clams for dinner.
Here is soooo much to see and to do and it will be our pleasure to sit down with a map and tell you all about the beauty our gorgeous country has to offer and also what to see and where to go.
You will have the best and most unforgettable time here.
