Description
This is a friendly, spacious, family house to unwind in after your day's activity. Comfortable sitting room, large dining room, kitchen/ breakfast room, sunny conservatory frontage and annexe with washing/drying machine. Five bedrooms. We will organise your arrival and orientation after booking to make things as easy as possible for you. All rooms have sinks; two are ensuite and there is a large shared bathroom and extra toilets. There is a travel cot and high chair. An info sheet will be in the kitchen to help you feel settled (heating, hot water, local amenities, etc.). Ample free parking.
Gweedore (officially known by its Irish language name, Gaoth Dobhair, is an Irish-speaking area located on the Atlantic coast. Gweedore stretches some 16 miles from Meenaclady in the north to Crolly in the south and around 9 miles from Dunlewey in the east to Magheraclogher in the west. It is the largest Irish-speaking Gaeltacht in Ireland and includes the villages Bunbeg, Derrybeg, Dunlewey, Crolly and Brinalack, and sits in the shade of Donegal's highest peak, Mount Errigal.
Gweedore is known for being a cradle of Irish culture with old Irish customs, traditional music, theatre, Gaelic games and the Irish language playing a central and pivotal role in the lives of the local people. This, along with its stunning scenery and many beaches, has made the area a popular tourist destination.

“DISGRACEFUL”

Response from the owner I’m so sorry that your stay in Teach Brid was disappointing. Although the house is always presented cleanly and hygenically we have taken your comments about the house on board and will endeavour to address the shortfalls. You had booked the house for 2 adults so I did express surprise when four adults and seven children arrived. You have already recieved my refund and apologies and I will look forward to welcoming you in the future.

“Teach Brid”
We had a lovely stay in the area. The house was much less expensive than we expected but we were late booking and there was no others available for 9 people. It is a typical old fashioned family home with a large living area and a nice veranda to sit in in the evening to watch the sunset. When we arrived we felt the kitchen tops, cooker and cupboards needed cleaning and we washed a lot of the crockery before use. There was a dirty old fridge freezer in the corner which had been sealed but the seals were broken and it was on but not working. The alternative was a small fridge freezer ( which Tim told us was temporary) but it was barely adequate for 9 adults. Apart from the above the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable The large kitchen dining area meant with 2 tables together we had enjoyable communal meals.
