Getting around

O' Connell Street, the city's main street is just a ten-minute walk from the house. The tram service is available from nearby Broadstone. From O'Connell Street, one can take a bus, tram, or train to most parts of the city as well as to other parts of Ireland. 'DART' - the city light rail service - can be boarded near O'Connell Bridge. This serves coastal towns and villages for several miles north and south of the city center. All the city tour buses run from O'Connell Street and day tours to other destinations of interest can be booked at Tourist Offices in the city center. The Airport Express Bus runs at regular intervals from O'Connell Street. Journey time to the airport is about 30 minutes.

I will meet guests on arrival and explain all that is necessary to know about the house and the locality. When I have handed over the keys I generally allow guests their privacy for the duration of their stay. Response from the owner Thank you for your feedback. My house keeper advises me that she used an 'All Surface Cleaner' in the kitchen area. This has an oily consistancy that probably caused the 'greasy' feel to the surfaces in the kitchen. This product will not be used in the future. The buildings in the area are a variety of styles and periods. Georgian, Victorian, and modern. Some of the flat complexes built in the 60's are unattractive I agree. But this is the case in most cities. Many of the more recent buildings are due to be replaced in the near future. Anyway, thank you again for your feedback and hopefully you will make it back this way again.
