25 mins from an international airport and 20 mins from TGV getting here is a dream.

The space:

Set on the crest of à Pyrenean foothill with views all around, explore our 30 acres of pasture and forest.  The land stretches away below the pool and has been planted (around 50 years ago) with superb walnut and chestnut trees, spend time discovering our three family-family colour-coded walks.

The kids:

Happy children make great holidays!  Watch the children explore our woodland play area enjoying the freedom to play and discover new skills. Share a family game of table tennis, badminton and football. Pack up a picnic and take one of our nature trails spending quality family time together.

Relax around the Pool:

The Fire pit:

Gather around the fire-pit and watch the sun set over the mountains whilst cooking your supper over the open fire.

Surrounded by trees and twinkling lights this is perfect ending to day spent in our heavenly hideaway.

La Maison:

The house was built in the traditional 'Bigourdane' style of the region dating from 1632 and was a Bishops Residence until early 1900's with the tiny church next door still in occasional use.  Sleeps 13 plus we have cots for 2 babies in spacious and flexible accommodation particularly suitable for extended family gatherings or groups of friends celebrating a special event.

Modern decor and appliances provide a comfy cosy experience while traditional French touches such as oak beams, wood floors, antiques wood-burning stoves maintain the character of the house.

With plenty of space for big groups to spread out across the house; 2 kitchens, 2 staircases, a grand salon, large dinning area and second kitchen/family room. 2 TV's and X-boxes along with books, games and DVD's guests can always find a cosy corner to relax in.

Charm and calm as you climb one of the two staircases. Upstairs is a geometric colossus of oak and sloping ceilings, many rooms have wonderful views of the mountains. Spacious bedrooms offer guests the perfect night's sleep. All the bedrooms are equally charming, with boutique white bed linen dressed according to the season. There is an office space on the mezzanine level with views out to the mountains. Most of the bathrooms are en-suite and are supplied with hand, bath and pool towels and essential toiletries to help you over the first few days.

There is a separate drive behind the main house for guests to park their cars once they have unloaded their luggage. This ensures that children can play and explore in safety. The land stretches away below the pool and has been planted with superb walnut trees and chestnut trees. Children adore exploring our woodland adventure play area whilst adults are often found at the fire pit watching the sun set with a glass of wine and one of our signature grazing boards! Discover our heavenly paradise ( 30 acres) and spend time exploring the many paths which lead down to the stream at the bottom of the valley. Many of our guests enjoy bird watching, painting or simply unwinding from the stresses of everyday life or relaxing by the pool.

Getting around

We are ideally placed at the head of the two main tourist valleys, on the edge of some of the most amazing National Parks. We have a fantastic spa 15 mins away at Bagneres-de-Bigorre which has a selection of supermarkets, independent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. In the other directions 20 mins drive takes you into Lourdes where people come from all over the world to visit the Sanctuaries and take part in the nightly torchlight procession. We would suggest that the best way to get around is a car. That said for a weekend break we have a 9 seater land rover or our fully inclusive packages please contact us.

Interaction with guest

Les Hauts Pâturage is our family home and we live in separate accommodation across the courtyard so we are alway around to help guests make the most of their stay with us. We offer table d'hôte (4 course meal) is served around 8pm on selected evenings, with the back drop of the mountains watching the sun set at a communal table. We use fresh, seasonal and flavoursome food most of which is grown here. Ossun-ez-Angles is a typical Pyrenean village, surrounded by mountains so weaving together the flavours of the black Bigorre pigs, the Baregeoise sheep and locally produced cheese our dishes draw inspiration from all corners of Europe and beyond, Good food, excellent local wine, friends, family and loved ones, this is an amazing experience!
