Brookside Retreat is located next door to Brookside Cottage and the accommodation sleeps 2. The perfect romantic getaway Cottage. Situated in the heart of the village of Two Dales, conveniently located for many local walks and only 10 minutes to either Matlock or Chatsworth/Bakewell at the heart of the Peak District. Inside the cottage, there is a sizeable, well-equipped kitchen and sitting room which has a feature fireplace with a gas fire, 2 three seater sofas and television. Outside, to the rear of the property is a private patio and grassed area.

There is a local bus service, but if you wish to visit the Peak District further and study it's truly stunning beauty a car is recommended. There are nearby local shops, post office, pub and park within easy walking distance.

Response from the owner Thank you for your review. I can only apologise that you feel this way. In regards to the waste removal, this unfortunately is not in our control it is the local council that operates the bin collection, and the whole area has been effected by this not just our cottages. I understand the issue with the door however the joiner was contacted immediately and attend the cottage as soon as they could to rectify this issue, we were unaware of the issue before this was brought to our attention by yourself. I apologise if you felt I was not responsive to you, I am the overall admin and often am in meetings so am unable to answer calls/messages however I ensured that every time I was unable to take your call/message I asked (Neil) the owner to contact you on my behalf which I understand he did immediately. We try our very best to provide good customer service and understand the owners were as helpful as they could be when helping you to find a dog sitter etc. Again please accept my apologies that you did not enjoy your stay. Take care and stay safe. Thanks

“Luxurious nest for two”

Excellently appointed little cottage, warm and cosy just for two. High quality furnishings, slept really well in comfy king sized bed. Very good internet connection and the bonus of Sky Tv for the dark evenings!
