Description
The Country house "Casale del Gelso" is located in the countryside of Parco dei Castelli Romani, just a 4 kilometers from the center of Ariccia and Genzano di Roma, only 20 minutes by train, you can reach the center of Rome (Campoleone - Roma Termini station).
The farmhouse is located 10 minutes from Nemi with its Lake, 15 minutes from Albano and Castel Gandolfo, only 20 minutes from the sea (Tor San Lorenzo) and 25 minutes from the Zoomarine aquapark. 1 hour from Tivoli, 2 hours from Naples. The Casale del Gelso enjoys a spectacular view of the Circeo promontory and its islands, the sun terrace and the vast park surrounding the Casale are completed with tables, chairs, deckchairs and numerous relaxation areas with cushions and sofas, barbecue area and wood oven.
The Vagaggini’s family owns Casale del Gelso since many years. It is based on the agro Romano and it was built during the early 900’. The main structure runs around the medieval tower, and it is surrounded by a park with plants and olive trees.
We started in 2011 the restoration of the main building with great care and love for the style we wanted to keep in. Demolition materials were reused in a creative way : the old roof tiles have become the square in front of the portico, the use of terracotta, wood, green Tuff and the renovated old furniture with shabby chic style have given a special warm and harmonious atmosphere all around the Casale. Rural elements can be found in the large arch, in the barn and in the oven.

All rooms have air conditioning cool/heat, private bath, tv, free wi-fi. The rooms are non-smoking but you can smoke in the garden.

Il Casale del Gelso è situato nella campagna del Parco dei Castelli Romani a 4 soli kilometri dal centro di Ariccia e di Genzano di Roma, in soli 20 minuti di treno dalla stazione Campoleone, si può raggiungere il centro di Roma (stazione Roma Termini), i treni passano ogni 17 minuti.
Il Casale si trova a 10 minuti da Nemi con il Suo Lago, il tempio di Diana e il Museo delle Navi; 15 minuti da Albano e Castel Gandolfo.
Il Casale del Gelso è un casale dell’Agro Romano dei primi del 900, sorto intorno ad una torretta di origine medievale, contornato da un grande parco con piante e olivi secolari. Dal Casale si può godere di una vista spettacolare fino al mare, si distingue il profilo del promontorio del Circeo con le sue isole.
Il Casale del Gelso dispone di 4 comode ed eleganti camere da letto (11 posti letto) ognuna con bagno privato con doccia, con possibilità di letto aggiunto e di ospitare famiglie.Tutte le camere dispongono di climatizzazione fresco/caldo, televisore, connessione wi-fi gratuita. Le camere e la sala colazioni sono per non fumatori ma è possibile fumare in giardino.

Al Casale c'è tanto da fare e alcune volte non riusciamo a seguire proprio tutto e tutti, grazie comunque per aver apprezzato il nostro lavoro. per quanto riguarda la colazione con aggiunta di cibi salati ci abbiamo pensato diverse volte, abbiamo così poche camere che il rischio è quello di sprecare il cibo...ma stiamo studiando delle soluzioni! Response from the owner Un casale meraviglioso gestito da due persone altrettanto fantastiche e generose. Sono due anni di fila che torniamo a visitare questo casale insieme a nostra figlia, il tutto immerso nel verde dei Castelli Romani tra gli uliveti e la campagna circostante. Le colazioni all'aperto con le crostate appena sfornate, i ciambelloni e sopratutto le marmellatine e il miele biologico prodotto dal proprietario sono il modo migliore di iniziare la giornata. Patrizia e Marco sono due host fantastici, sempre disponibili alle esigenze dei loro ospiti, pronti ad accogliervi con un gran sorriso. Sono a disposizione degli ospiti una cucina nello spazio comune totalmente rinnovata con gusto e una più grande molto vicina alla camere, a noi è stata molto utile per cucinare la cena alla bambina. Le camere sono arredate con particolare gusto, il tutto secondo uno stile shabby chic, molto sobrio e in armonia con il resto del paesaggio che circonda il casale. Marco ci ha parlato dei vini della zona, infatti oltre ad essere un grande apicultore si è dimostrato anche un sommelier molto competente. È stato un piacere soggiornare in questo paradiso, al prossimo anno!! Cristina, Kyle & Sophia Wagner.
