Description
This is the perfect 'get away from it all' holiday location in the northern most region of the Hautes-Pyrénées. A beautifully restored farmhouse with a converted chai (wine store), with high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. There is a beautiful open plan kitchen which looks out onto the dining area by the large inglenook fireplace. A sweeping south facing lawn with mature, enclosed 3/4 acre garden leads you down to the private 12m x 5m pool with roman steps and stunning views, all nestling tranquilly amongst vineyards and sunflowers. The pool is easily visible from the house and terraces and is 1.1 m at the shallow end and 1.5 m at the deep end. There is a covered terrace for outside dining with uniterrupted views east of the vineyards and south of the mountains and a further smaller south facing terrace; both overlook the garden and pool. Visit the local vineyards of Madiran, Côtes de Gascogne, Gers and Jurançon or the producers of Armagnac and soak up the atmosphere in the many local markets. Walk, cycle, swim, horseride or just relax and unwind. With easy access to the Atlantic coast and the mountains and villages of the Pyrénées. Fly via Pau, Biarritz, Lourdes, Toulouse and Bergerac. Nearest shops, café/bar and restaurant 3km.
