Description

2 bed apartment in Salthill overlooking Galway Bay with views of the beautiful hills of Clare. Only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Salthill with its many and varied cafes and restaurants plus other attractions such as the National Aquarium, Seapoint Leisure Complex, Leisureland sports centre an indoor swimming pool and, of course, the famous Black Rock diving boards. 15 minutes walk to Galway City Centre. Large double bedroom and 2nd bedroom with bunk beds. Travel Cot and single put up beds available for extra children. All towels and bed linen provided plus all the usual amenities of a well equipped apartment such as washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, electric oven, TV and Wi-Fi. Great location for families with quick access to the beaches and a large playground a few minutes away. There is also an outdoor gym set up in Claude Toft park at the back of the apartment block.

Getting around

Galway city is about a 15 min walk. There is a bus stop outside Caesars Palace Casino, which is about 200m from our block on the other side of the road towards the sea. A bus comes along every half hour for the trip in to the city. A taxi rank is located a short walk from the apartment outside the Seapoint Centre which is down towards the roundabout. In the city there is a train and bus station from where you can get a train or bus to most major towns and cities.

We will either meet you on the day of your arrival and show you around the apartment, or leave the key for you to collect. We also leave an information book for your perusal during your stay.

“Salthill is some spot!”

Mary and Cliff’s apartment is everything you need- it’s clean, full of light, spacious, all essential amenities there (washing machine, tumble drier) even little extras like a toy box for the children. Apartment block is in a great location, close to nice coffee shops, restaurants, the beach and everything Salthill has to offer. We will definitely return, the children didn’t want to go home! “Fantastic home from home”

Galway Bay apartments are a perfect home from home. A spacious apartment with everything you need and added extras including Netflix, a washing machine and tumble dryer! The apartment was spotlessly cleaned and the beds very comfortable. The location was brilliant. The apartment at one end and the bars restaurants are at the other end of the same street. Leave the apartment turn right and you are at the safest beach my kids have ever been on. Mary and Cliff leave a very good folder full of plenty of places to bring children to. I would highly recommend Loughwell Farm. We were there the week before restaurants were allowed to have people eating inside. We struggled to eat in any of them. We were being asked to wait 2 hours for a table and it did not seem to matter what time of day. Some of the bars had said when they were opening inside they would not be allowing children. Also most restaurants and takeaways did not open Mondays and Tuesdays some didn't open until Thursday. Nowhere was taking bookings while we were there they couldn't cope with the demand so stopped it! We ended up getting lovely takeaway food from the gourmet food parlour which was very close to the apartment, kids watching Netflix while we enjoyed a lovely meal and a reasonably priced bottle of wine we wanted to drink! O'Reilly's was a nice place and Lucy was a lovely waitress, brilliant with our boys. Lana did the best Thai takeaway I've had. The centra was also very handy and useful! The whole family had a fantastic time here, Mary and Cliff were lovely and left milk for a cuppa which was a lovely welcome! Thanks to both of you for letting us stay! We will be recommending to everyone we know and hope to return ourselves!

“Spot on”

Just back from a break here with my family(2 adults, 2 kids)and we were really happy with the apartment. We found it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, secure and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials and some little extras like tea, coffee, cleaning chemicals and books, games and netflix which made for easy entertainment when we needed a break (although Salthill provides plenty of entertainment so you may not find time to enjoy these facilities!). If I could recommend any addition it would be a dishwasher and brighter lights in the bathroom, although neither were a big issue. The apartment is well located close to the aquarium, the beach and prom and its an easy walk into town and to local shops for supplies. There's a lovely sea view over a green area from the balcony. The owners were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early, Mary showed us around and left a booklet of clear instructions for the apartment equipment along with tourist leaflets to inspire adventure. We enjoyed the beach, walking the prom and watching the divers in the evening, the aquarium, the endless supply of places to eat locally and wandering through Galway city which always has a great atmosphere. I would gladly recommend this accommodation and book it again should we be lucky enough to have another holiday in the West.

How do damage deposits work?
