Description

‘Clew Bay House’ is a beautiful and peaceful home set on flat land tucked away off a country road. Enjoy unobstructed views of Clew Bay, Achill Island, Clare Island, rolling hills and mountains from the property. The yard backs into the Atlantic Ocean, a blue flag beach and is enclosed by fence, trees and shrubs. It boasts breathtaking views and privacy. The house is located a 20 walk\5 minute drive from Louisburgh village and a 20 minute drive from Westport, Co Mayo. There are many blue flag beaches and picturesque walks located in the area. It provides an ideal location for a summer holiday. There are plenty of activities available including water sports (swimming, surfing, kayaking, etc.), walking, fishing (fresh water and sea), golf, horse riding. Tour the area by taking a peaceful drive to Achill Island, Crough Patrick, Leenane, Doolough Pass, Killary Harbour, Clifden, Letterfrack and Kylemore Abbey. Louisburgh has restaurants, two small supermarkets, a number of pubs, and craft shops, as well as a church and post office. The home is bright and airy.

AREA:

Louisburgh is quaint Irish village which attracts many visitors in the summer months. There are restaurants, pubs, supermarket/deli, butcher, pharmacy, hotel, newsagent, take-away, café and shops. It's a short trip to Claire Island, Achill Island, Croagh Patrick and the larger town of Westport. Westport has championship golf course, horse back ridging, fishing and train to Dublin.

10 minute walk to the center of the town.

2 minute walk to blue flag beaches.

“Fabulous two-week stay!”

Beautiful location right above the beach with amazing views from the upstairs deck and garden. We spent many evenings watching the sun set over Clare Island and even had dinner on the beach. The house is great with extremely large kitchen, dining and lounge areas and having 3 bathrooms was an asset. All the appliances are new and the kitchen was well equipped. Wooden floors throughout meant that it was easy to keep clean and there was plenty of storage. Caroline was immediately available if we had any queries and Kathleen was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you Kathleen and Caroline!
