Ananda Retreat Villa T is an independent villa newly and completely renovated with two bedrooms (one of which on an open plan loft) located in a serene environment with easy access and in close proximity to the beaches and all other attractions of the island. The villa offers a private outdoor pool and unlimited beautiful view to the sea, the volcano and the famous Santorini sunset. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you at Ananda Retreat.

“Traumatic & horrendous experience”

We do seem to have a lot of repeated reviews from different guests who have or haven't stayed with us regarding the same issue for very obvious reasons. On top of the above this is the second review that you are writing since the first one was removed by Tripadvisor due to inappropriate manner and non accepted language. So please let us repeat the answer we have published on the initial review. "As it is normal there are always two sides of each story so please allow us to tell ours. The villa has been fully renovated on 2016 and everything that it contains is new. The photos show exactly the layout and the facilities of the villa. In fact you never complaint or raised any issue for the condition of the villa during the days of your stay. We do rent out our villas in good will to our guests and we DO expect them to respect our hospitality. This entails that the guests will behave in a reasonable manner, not damage the equipment of the villa, in this case the linen and not annoy the guests of the other villas by having parties with unknown guests, especially without prior permission. The people who are responsible to clean the villa (maid) as well as the villa manager (Sylvia) are there to assist during the stay and not to be treated like servants. It is expected to have in the villa the guests who have booked to stay in the villa for the allocated period of time, the reservation was for 4 guests and we had 4 women checking in, their details are in our disposal, and not just walk ins (men and women) for which we do not have any details and do not know who they are. This is only common sense not only for security reasons for the particular villa as well as the villas next door but also for damages etc. Your booking intermediate was notified prior to any action taken but when we saw that there completely different people staying at the villa than the ones reserved, we had to take immediate action since this was a break of agreement. Once there is a termination of agreement the process is like a check out, keys must be handled to the owners and no further access is permitted. We always do our best so that our guests will have the best memories when they stay with us. We also understand that not all properties are suitable for all guests and that some guest can be more difficult than other but there is a limit on what kind of behavior is accepted. and I am afraid that abusive behavior and bad language is not allowed nor tolerated. Response from the owner Dear Leveleran, We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property. Unfortunately this is a multiple review we receive for the same stay from many different guests who have and haven't stayed with us and the reason is quite obvious: you breached the terms and conditions of your reservation multiple times and you were asked to vacate the villa. There are facts to which you refer to which are very false. For instance the fact that the 75 years old lady who was unable to climb stairs for the second bedroom of the villa, when she was staying on the first one which is on the ground floor, had no problem of checking in to another property in Fira, the islands capital, which is quite lower on the cliff of the caldera, Athina Luxury Suites. This is not another villa where guests exchanged reservations but a hotel with a lot of stairs for guests to reach with a brand new reservation. In any case as we have replied in all the other numerous and malicious reviews, the guests to which we provide, in good will, accommodation to must respect the property they stay at, treat the staff in a good manner and not like servants, look after the property's equipment and not ruin it (such us linen in your case) and also respect the guests staying in the properties next door. Having large amount of people visiting and using the facilities of the villa, with out any notification and/or approval as well as having people staying at the villa other than the ones who have reserved it is a very clear break of the terms and conditions of the reservation and this is the reason you were asked to vacate the villa. We do understand your frustration but unfortunately rules are made to be followed and the security as well as the serenity of our other guests is as vital as it was your when we rented out our villa in, I repeat, good will.
