REVIEWS (see more on our website) "Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in such a beautiful and well equipped holiday home. We made lots of visits including Albi, Najac and Caylus which were lovely. What made it so great was having a base to come back to, to relax in the pool and terrace. The ping pong table also brought out the competition! Overall a lovely stay in tranquillity and nature" July 2019 "We had a wonderful return to Clauzel and worked very hard at doing as little as possible - something which is very easy to achieve here. The pool has been great as always and sitting enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this incredible setting. Clauzel has been everything we remembered it to be - I'm sure we'll be back" August 2019

Response from the owner So glad you had a good holiday, the weather has certainly been unusually mixed so far this year. The fenced pool is good for little ones, but I guess for those unsteady in their pins, young and old may need to be aware of the steps to the pool. We hope to see you back in the area again and hopefully the sun will shine.

“Peaceful but somewhat remote country house”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2013

Clauzel is a very peaceful converted farm property with only one neighbouring property about 100m away and occasional passing tractors beyond the grounds. The large garden grounds at Clauzel are now quite neglected with just a narrow strip of cut grass round the house and down a slope to the pool, but alongside the pool and elsewhere the grass, nettles and brambles were 3 to 4 feet high. The hire car could not negotiate the sloping part-pebbled parking area so was left on the track requiring some awkward reversing. The pool was fine if a little shallow but no doubt ideal for families with children. External doors were sticking on the floor and needed effort to open. There is only one proper shower which would be inconvenient for a larger party, though there is a shower head with no curtain over the baths. Freeview TV had just been installed with all the usual UK channels. The house was well equipped and the only real issue was distance to a choice of restaurants open in the evenings since many in nearby villages were only open Friday and Saturday evenings in June.

Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to review Clauzel. Since your comments when you stayed at the house we have cleared the garden back. I'm pleased you enjoyed the peace and quiet Clauzel offers, as you so rightly point out the pool is ideal for families. July and August are much more lively in the region, early June, as is often the case, is still quite sleepy here.
