Situated with The Burren to the front and Galway Bay to the rear, this traditional Irish thatched cottage, dating back to the 19th century, oozes authenticity and character. Delicately restored, with great care, to its former glory to retain and conserve as much of its originality as possible. It retains its original thatched roof, thick walls and high ceilings yet with all modern conveniences and an exceptionally cosy atmosphere. Traditional Irish music sessions can be found in the local pubs. Windsurfing, kayaking, guided tours in the Burren National Park and on the Wild Atlantic Way route. Coastal walks on the doorstep. This property does not accept children under the age of 2. The owner is on hand with an extensive knowledge of tourist information.Shop. Pub 2 miles. Beach 400 yards. GF: lounge/kitchen/diner, double, twin, shower room.Oil by meter read and electricity by meter read, Oil fired stove central heating, linen and towels included, oil-fired stove, TV, dvd player, CD, microwave, w/machine, hairdryer, electric blankets, fully enclosed garden, picnic bench, private off road parking, bicycles available at cost. “Cosy, clean, well-equipped house in a beautiful location.”
I loved this little house and would stay here again. The location is great. Close to a beautiful beach. There are lots of lovely walks in every direction.
