Golden Sunset Villa I is a jewel of pure and sophisticated Cycladic architecture: a 120 square meters, three-level property, all in white, perched on a hillside with breath-taking, panoramic views over the Aegean Sea and the islands of Delos, Rinia and Tinos, boasting a large open plan living area indoors and outdoors and offering privacy and seclusion in a very idyllic spot.
The friendly, family owned, villa makes you feel at home away from home and has the comforts one would expect coupled with enormous charm and elegance enriched by the incredible Greek light and vivid colours of the Aegean Sea visible from almost very window.
If you are looking for simplicity you are in the right place. The view is amazing and the sun smiles the whole day till the Mykonian sunset greets the villa in the afternoon. There is a great balance of feeling protected in a very cosy and intimate family environment and at the same time there is the expansiveness of the dramatic rocky scenery and the uninterrupted views of the Aegean in the presence of the holy island of Delos just in front. This lovely Cycladic Villa will mesmerize you with its elegant simplicity.
Built in 2005, part of a 5-villa complex designed to ensure autonomy and privacy, the Villa has been under full renovation, just accomplished. It has been almost totally refurbished taking great care to maintain the look and feel of the traditional architecture of the island, whilst still providing modern creature comforts.
It is fully painted inside and outside, bathrooms and kitchen are renovated, playroom is transformed into a spacious master suite consisting of a bedroom and a living room, new built-in furniture is added (built-in sank in kitchen, built-in sinks in bathrooms, 3 built-in wardrobes, 2 built-in beauty desks, 3 new built-in bed with bedside tables), new mosquito nets and extra air-condition units are placed. Strategically located, the villa faces west granting panoramic views of the sunset over the Aegean and the islands of Delos, Rhenia and Tinos while its southwestern position on the island provides easy access to the island's Chora and the nearby beaches and markets of Agios Ioannis and Ornos.
Allowing to enjoy the serene isolation that Golden Sunset villa offers while benefiting from the easy access, this area is one of the last ones on the island that are very quiet and tranquil and offer privacy and peace of mind while being still close to all the cosmopolitan spots that the island is very famous for.
A 10 min drive will get you in the middle of everything in the famous socialite and vibrant life in the old town of Mykonos, a 5min drive to the glamorous beach and resort of Ornos and a 3min drive to the closest supermarket in Korfos just before Ornos. It is a hillside hideaway in a secluded nearly rural area although close to the town, where you can relax after a long day at the magnificent beaches of the island or a long night in the vivid nightlife. Carved on a hill, 150m from the coast, in an extraordinary setting framed by beautiful countryside, it blends uniquely in the rocky topography of its hillside, prime and unspoiled, setting.
Golden Sunset Villa I boasts the most refined Mykonian architecture: white-washed & curved walls, wooden ceiling beams and stairs, white plastered and marble floors, built-in furniture (sofas, tables, beds and bedside tables, beauty tables, kitchen sank) and sunken baths.
The design of the villa is a minimal touch of comfort and stylishness supported by relaxing transitions in the white and off- white colour pallet embodying from an antique family buffet to Marimekko wall hanging fabrics. it is a well-organized, well-lighted property, decorated with love. Designed with attention to every little detail, it is the perfect backdrop for a family or group of friends that want to enjoy a truly bespoke experience. All the facilities make you feel at home whether you are couples, friends or family.
Surrounded by two Mediterranean-style gardens in dialectic with the rocky scenery around, Golden Sunset Villa is designed for relaxation. The feeling of sitting on the living room terrace, having the feeling of floating over the Aegean, watching the sun melt inside the Aegean while listening to the wind blow and waves move, is just impossible to describe with words. At night the lights from the surrounding islands together with the stars lighten the skyline; all day long everything is bathed by the world famous Cycladic sunlight, constantly cooled by the Aegean breezes.
