Description
In an area of outstanding natural beauty, very close to the many attractions of the Dordogne.
The house contains a fully equipped kitchen and furnished living room with dining area, with views of the beautiful woodland and garden from every window. The living area has direct access onto the terrace where you can sit, relax and enjoy the views and the peacefulness of the property. Alternatively the 32” smart TV with combined DVD player gives you access to the internet and films/TV.
The ground floor also contains a toilet, a large hallway with seating and an additional outside kitchen just opposite the built in barbecue (a great room in which to enjoy breakfast in the early morning sunshine or for a shaded lunch when the mid-day sun gets hot).
Under the terrace you will find a laundry room with washing machine, sink and clothes airer.
The first floor has one double bedroom and one king size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and views to the swimming pool and garden. Also there is a large landing with chairs and a selection of books and games and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.
Leading off the king size bedroom is a staircase to the second floor of the tower and contains a double bed and a single bed with views over the swimming pool and the woodland.
Bed linen (egyptian cotton) bath towels, pool towels and tea towels are included. We also have a complimentary travel cot and high chair available for our younger guests.
The house is traditionally built with stone and beams and is surrounded by a 5000m² garden where you will find many oak trees, beautiful flower borders and a large expanse of lawn.
The swimming pool is 8m x 4m and is for your private use, with sun loungers and sun umbrellas for relaxation. The pool is open from the beginning of June to the end of September. Although the pool is not heated the sunshine keeps the water temperature lovely and warm.
In the woodland area we have a hammock, ideal for an afternoon snooze.
There is plenty of parking available. There are also 4 adult bikes and helmets for your use and a trailer for 2 small children with helmets.
For guests visiting earlier and later in the year you will have access to a wood burner and complimentary wood.

“Tranquil peace of heaven - just as promised!”
Just back from an amazing 2 weeks in this lovely place. We found everything is as described or even a notch better! Sitting on the terrace in the evening surrounded by all the trees under the nearly ripe grapes felt like spending time in the most amazing tree house. The pool was the ideal spot to cope with the mini heatwave and the surrounding sites (Domme, Castelnaud, Le Roque-Gageac to name but a few) were very easily accessible via the backroads from the house. Perfect spot to discover this stunning part of Perigord and to chill afterwards. Well done to you, Bev & Chris! We'll be back :-) Alex & Yvonne
